Great place to grab lunch. Soup and cornbread were just what I needed.

The split pea soup, Reuben sandwich, and Gorgonzola salad with tangerine dressing were all delicious! However, the chicken noodle soup was a bit bland in comparison.

Love the pastrami! It was incredible. A woman on the street just recommended me to get in. She told about the pastrami and she was right. It was excellent. Very nice people too.

New favorite joint. Best clam chowder ever. Don't tell the restaurants I've had it in in Boston. Great owners. 1950s Blues Music. Highly suggest. Off of 3rd between Columbia and Jefferson. Downtown on SW side. View menu

Delicious homemade soups, very friendly staff. My pastrami sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. Felt like grandma was feeding me. My girlfriend and I entered to escape the rain and the food here was perfect to warm us up. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant.

I truly truly love this place. Working next door, work can be rough, but then I come here, get treated with absolute love. The woman who runs the joint is the sweetest, and the food lifts my spirits. On a rainy day, getting a bowl of soup makes my heart sing. This is a must to check out when in town.

I never post reviews, but I am a huge sandwich and soup person and this place is awesome! I had the Thanksgiving pocket and it is now my favorite sandwich. I have tried this so many places and it never lived up, but this was way different. The turkey was juicy, the stuffing perfect, and I got a side of the cranberry sauce and used it all. View menu

Traveling from Seattle and was directed to this really delightful soup and sandwich shop downtown by hotel staff. I had the chicken and white bean soup and a turkey half sandwich with coleslaw and a pickle. It was fantastic! And it only cost $14 and change. This is a screaming deal folks. If you like homemade, tasty food you must visit this shop!

A friend and I were in Portland for a concert and ended up eating at Portland Kettle. Best decision ever! The owner and the other worker there were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I had never had a pastrami sandwich before and wanted to try it since that is one of their specialties. It was to die for! Great prices. Great food.
