Very creative menu. They do some interesting twists on familiar dishes, like shrimp and grits. Nice bistro setting. Reasonable prices. We came because of the pies and we weren't disappointed.

Two incredible meals here, easily one of my personal favorite meals in Cleveland. Initially had the Elk Tenderloin then the Hog Snapper. Everything you will taste here has been thought out to pleasure your palate (pairing taste combos and textures is a work of art). Caesar salad is a must try, so light and unique. I’ve never in my life been to a Pie Bar until I visited Rood this place was absolutely incredible and the food was amazing I had crab cakes with grits and they were perfectly made I also had the crab pasta omggg so so delicious and from the Pie Bar I tried the peanut butter pie everything was so good a detailed to taste I really enjoyed my visit and will most definitely be returning

So we had gone to Rood once before Covid, and hadn’t gone back because the food was just average. Last night, though, we decided to try it again since we knew the menu had changed and THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC. The current chef is incredibly talented and has put together a phenomenal menu of a caliber we haven’t often found in Cleveland. The drinks are creative and the pies are just freaking delicious. Five stars all the way.
