"Be sure not to overlook this Mexican restaurant in Island Lake! It’s easy to miss, but make sure you stop in and grab a bite. The service is outstanding and the food is fantastic. I tried the steak fajitas and garlic shrimp, and there was more than enough for leftovers to take home. The guacamole was also quite impressive. They offer a great selection of beer and, of course, delicious Margaritas. The interior is quite simple, featuring a few booths, tables, and some music, but you won’t be disappointed. We had a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to return!"

"This restaurant used to be my family's go-to spot for Mexican food, but the quality of the dishes declined quickly, even though it wasn't terrible. The real problem was the service. After encountering repeated issues with the staff, we decided to stop going there. The employees were consistently rude and slow, making you feel like you were a bother to them. Attempts to address our concerns were ignored and, at one point, even met with laughter. All we wanted was to have a burrito that was made incorrectly fixed. On a positive note, dealing with these issues led us to discover Sophia's down the street, which is fantastic, offering fresh ingredients and a wonderful staff."

"we asked the restaurant manager whether he could turn off the music because it was so loud, especially with all the right in the restaurant. he said he would not because he tries to drown the folk voices in the restaurant, which is obviously a catch 22 because then the people speak louder. he was not very nice and not very friendly and not at all accommodating. eating in the service was good"

"I had the pot roast, my companions had the mac n cheese with pot roast, and the prime rib weekend special. We also started with the nachos.The roast was excellent and the crowd favorite! As at least one Yelper said, the carrots are very maple syrup tasting which was a bit strange. They tasted great but were, I thought, an odd choice to combo with the roast. Everything else was tasty, and there were enough second choices that we are sure to come back. The service was attentive, the restaurant was clean and nice enough, and we were also impressed by the number of ciders on the menu (though they were out of a couple of them on our Sunday night visit). All in all an excellent find."
