"This seems to be a local favorite. It’s hopping at 6pm on a Friday. We had to wait for 30 min yo get a table. The food portion is huge with potatoes (papitas) and frijoles (beans). We ordered taquitos, chile rellenos, beef briskets tacos, chicken burriots, huevos ranchero and a kid’s cheesy crispy (quesadillas). The brisket tacos, chile rellenos, salsa, and chiles (red and green) are all very excellent. We told the waiter that we had a vegetarian, and he made sure the red and green chiles are the vegetarian option. Even though we shared our meals, we still ended up with leftover!"

Service was solid. Food was decent but not as good and heat hot as 4th street. Chips were not warm. Sopaipillas cold. Skimpy on ice during what is a very high temp week. Could use more decor.

One of my favorites for New Mexican food! Fresh chips and spicy, delicious salsa. Small burrito dinner with a grilled beef patty, green Chile, extra potatoes instead of beans. Sopaipillas are perfect!

We made a special stop here for lunch on our way to Colorado Springs from Arizona. Always worth it. Everything from the chips, salsa, guacamole, enchiladas and brisket meat....all top notch. Looking forward to our next visit. View menu

All my visits have gone exceptionally well here. Food quality, great. I had a taco salad last visit 12/9/23 Salad fresh and chicken tasty. Staff were very attentive (I hope my date left them a generous tip) and Manager checked on us as well. Sadie's on 4th st. Is my go-to, but I also like the Academy location.

Sadie's is always solid comidas de Nuevo mexico. It is different from one New Mexican restaurant to another, North to South, east to west. So comparing is based on your tastes. But the food is plentiful and solid. Please do not confuse it with Mexican food, although similar at times, also very different at other times. I love them both!
