"I was really excited to try Sage as I had heard that it's a great spot for lunch. I made a reservation for 4 people. When we were sat, we were 1 of 3 tables that had customers (this was a Monday at noon). Our server didn't approach us for about 10 minutes. We ordered and were informed after another 10 minutes that they were out of 3 of the items we ordered as well as the type of champagne we wanted. Our server apologized blaming on being short-staffed. There weren't that many tables filled at that point, so we weren't sure what she was talking about. When our food came out, she forgot one of our meals and also forgot that one of us ordered the truffle fries. The server didn't seem that rushed to correct things. The atmosphere was cute, but not cute enough for those prices and the lack of good service. Would not recommend and will not be going back. There are too many other good places to waste another meal here."

Happy with the change and return back to comfort food dishes on the menu. The fried oysters appetizer, a new item, was perfectly done.

Very good food, but the branzino was way too salty. We each had an appetizer, entree and we shared a complementary (because the fish was too salty), and 4 drinks were served to our party of 3. With tip, the bill came to $204.00, way too much considering we were sitting in a small diner.

I visited this restaurant for brunch with three friends, and I have to say, Tristen was our waiter and he was hands down the best waiter I've encountered in NYC. He was not only well-informed about the menu but also incredibly friendly and perfectly attentive. Thank you for making my birthday brunch an amazing experience! I’ll definitely be returning!

Although this restaurant may not be a trendy hotspot in Manhattan, it truly stands out with its innovative dishes and delicious flavors. The owners are genuine and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. It's an excellent neighborhood gem and much more accessible than the Lower East Side or Tribeca. Made a trip to Sage because of their Friday night special lobster rolls. I was very disappointed when told they didn't have any that night. Still in the mood for seafood I ordered the pialia which was very good. A lot of places manage to overcook one or more of the different fish. They got it right and although still disappointed about not having my first choice it was a nice dinner.

When our food finally arrived, one of our meals was missing, and the server also forgot that one of us had ordered the truffles. It didn't seem like the server was in a hurry to correct any of the issues. While the atmosphere was pleasant, it wasn't enjoyable enough to justify the high prices coupled with the lack of adequate service. I would not recommend this restaurant and certainly will not return. There are plenty of other great places to enjoy a meal.
