The beef brisket and turkey sandwich were fantastic. The coleslaw was delicious, and the sauces were top-notch. The service was outstanding; the staff was helpful, prompt, and very friendly. This was the perfect place for our hungry family of five.

I used to work with Mr. Satterfield on the base, and he was truly a kind-hearted person. He always brought his BBQ to our events, and it was delicious! I hired Satterfields for my sister's 50th birthday celebration, and they were fantastic. They were informative, on time, and took care of all the setup. I couldn't have been happier! Thank you to the staff for everything you do! We'll definitely be back!

I was somewhat disappointed with my experience. I called in my order for pickup, but when I arrived, it wasn't ready. While we waited, other customers came in, placed their orders, and received their food before us. When we finally got our order, it was incorrect. The brisket and sauce were excellent, but the bun used for the sandwich detracted from the flavor of the brisket. In the end, we ended up discarding the bun and just enjoying the brisket on its own. The 5 is for their food everything was delicious. It smells like smokey heaven when you get there! The service was a little weird. We ordered take out over the phone and when we got there they told us they don 't start take out orders until we get there! Wth?? Plus they didn 't have 2 of the things we ordered. They said the person that took our order on the phone shouldn 't be doing that..?? Whatever. We gave them a pass this time! After 30 mins we got our order and it was very tasty. Will go back again on our next visit to Macon.

The place is extremely dirty,, poorly maintained.. taped signs everywhere. Ordered a rib plate, and one extra side $21 total. Came with 3 sawed down small ribs. Ribs were lacking flavor, but tender. Decent smoke ring. Mac n cheese was watery, and clearly a powdered cheese disaster. Beans were from last week. Broke my plastic spoon on them. Nasty. Brunswick was very greasy, but full of good chunks. Had to add sauce to ribs and Brunswick to get any flavor. White sauce, Carolina, mustard were all 3 very poor recipes. The sweeter sauces were OK. I was a fan of the old Satterfield 's and was more than a little heartbroken when they closed their doors. When someone told me they were open again I was delighted and took the first opportunity to have lunch there with a friend. To be honest when I walked in I was a little shocked, the interior of the place lacks the charm it once had, and to be a little harsh first impressions were that they were in the process of unpacking from a recent move (which was not the case, just saying).
