"I recently tried the new shrimp and mac and cheese dish, and I absolutely loved it! The mac and cheese was perfectly creamy and cheesy, not at all dry, with that delightful stringy texture. The shrimp was cooked to perfection as well. I opted for the "pick 2" option, which included half a ham and cheese sandwich. I requested the sauce on the side, and I'm really glad I did because it turned out to be yellow mustard, to which I'm allergic. Fortunately, there was mayo available in the condiments area, so I could add just the right amount. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and the waitstaff consistently kept the area tidy while checking in to see if we needed anything else. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and plan to return again!"

If there's one chain restaurant you absolutely have to try in The Classic City, it's Schlotzsky's. It's definitely deserving of that title.

I really wish there were more places like this! I miss dining here from when I used to live in the area. They always serve the best bread with a wonderfully crispy bottom crust. My favorite is the deluxe original, which is generously filled and topped exactly to my liking.

The bread has changed! I don't care what they claim. It used to be airier and fluffy, now it is denser and not as tasty. I don't know if this is due to the supposed menu update or not, but they have made the sandwiches less appealing. Too bad I used to like them a lot, but not anymore.

Definitely recommend! Very much enjoyed the food. Ordered a small sandwich and was surprised it was the size of a regular sandwich anywhere else. Pre pandemic I would think the price, 6.99, a little high but I guess the price reflects the world we are living in today. Also, due to staffing shortages, had a bit of a wait for the sandwich. This place offers incredibly delicious sandwiches. I've visited this restaurant several times during my work trips to Athens, and I can confidently say that everything I've ordered has been consistently excellent. The veggie sandwich was outstanding, which is quite rare to find in many places. Their pita barbecue flatbread was simply phenomenal. Today, I tried "the original" sandwich, and I'm sure it will become one of my regular choices. The ingredients used in these sandwiches are high quality, and everything tastes fresh. I also sampled their Cinnabons, which are, of course, always a hit.
