"Mediocre Experience at Silverlake RamenI recently visited Silverlake Ramen and ordered the two classic ramen bowls, one with chicken and the other with pork, along with Chicken Karaage and California rolls. While the ramen noodles stood out, the overall experience left much to be desired.Starting with the California rolls, they lacked the freshness and flavor I expected. They felt like store-bought rolls, and to make matters worse, we weren’t provided soy sauce until after we received the check. This oversight was disappointing. The Chicken Karaage was a letdown as well. It mainly consisted of fat and had a chewy texture, which didn’t align with our expectations. It fell short of delivering the crispy, flavorful karaage we hoped for.On the brighter side, the ramen noodles themselves were great. They had a pleasing texture and were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. My partner even enjoyed her broth, although I found mine to be too milky. Nevertheless, I understand that this is a characteristic of the style of ramen they serve. The beer selection, specifically the Asahi, was a saving grace. It provided a refreshing accompaniment to the meal and added a positive note to the overall experience. One positive aspect worth mentioning is that Silverlake Ramen is pet-friendly. If you want to dine with your furry friend, this restaurant offers that convenience. When it comes to the service, it was instead cut and dry. While we didn’t encounter any significant issues, it lacked the personal touch that would have made our visit more memorable. Overall, the service was forgettable and didn’t leave a lasting impression. In summary, my experience at Silverlake Ramen was mediocre. While the ramen noodles and beer stood out, the California rolls fell short, the Chicken Karaage was disappointing, and the service was unremarkable. If you’re in the area and craving ramen, there may be better options to consider."

The chicken was undercooked, and the egg tasted stale. While the location in Cerritos is much better, this experience at this place was quite disappointing.

Just came back from Tokyo recently and was excited to eat some Ramen, this place was utterly disappointing. We ordered 4 dishes and the only good item was the butter mushroom.

The ramen broth here is outstanding. They offer a variety of ramen bowls to choose from. The customer service is excellent, and the seating is self-service, with the option to order for takeout. Parking is shared with other businesses in the area. View menu

We thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of robust and flavorful ramen, which was just what we needed after a long day at the office. The attentive servers ensured that we had everything we required promptly, whether it was water, sake, napkins, or a boost of energy!

Ordering was really simple. You just walk up to a kiosk, touch the screen to choose your meal, and you can add extras, condiments, utensils, and drinks. You can also specify whether you're dining in or taking out, and then you pay right there. I noticed a lot of DoorDash and Grubhub drivers picking up bags to deliver, which shows how popular this place is. If you're a fan of noodles, you'll definitely enjoy it here—don’t forget to add some hot chili for an extra kick!

Excited to try Silverlake for the first time since it’s been a constant appearance on my feed. Ordered the ramen plus appetizer for $19 dollars. While eating my blaze ramen in disappointment, as it was purely bland and overcooked. I looked over and my boyfriend hadn’t made a dent in his. I thought mine was bad, his was just awful. The chicken karaage* did not look or was appetizing and the edamame was okay. Not sure if it was by choice but it was split down the line: one side was salted the other was not. View menu

Ate here while visiting LA. High quality ramen costs $17 CAD $13 USD) where I’m from. Not only was it insanely expensive at $24 USD $31 CAD), but it had only one single slice of meat, reeked of low quality, and left me in the worst pain of my life. I spent the rest of the night legitimately wondering if I’m about to have a premature baby that I was unaware of. It was so bad I searched up how much Canadian blue cross covers in foreign health bills and considered calling an ambulance. Single worst dish I’ve ever had. I’d rather pay someone to just punch me.

Came in on a business trip as a single, there were at least 5 empty tables inside and outside and no one waiting in the restaurant and surrounding area. Was told they were all taken yet again no one around. If there is no one there waiting then those that are there should be seated waiting for someone that left the area where I would have been done in less than 30 mins.Updated review, got in on Sunday with no issues. Service was decent but food left me lacking. Of all the ramen places I've reviewed this one was pretty meh. Blaze was ok at best. Spice levels was fine but broth lacked any other real flavor. I'll take Jinya over this any day.
