"We drove in from Houston yesterday, and I was excited to try this place out. It was rainy out, but that wasn't going to stop me from trying it. We walked in, and the atmosphere was beautiful. It was exactly what I expected. Sadly my husband noticed that we were getting looks as if we didn't belong there. I didn't notice because I was just so excited to try it. We get to the counter and I start to look at the menu and asked for the item I was excited to try. The girl at the register was very short with us and seemed to be annoyed and responded with no it's seasonal. So I asked well what's popular. She told me to try the ham and cheese. So we decided to leave. It was apparent that if you are not from the area you are not welcome. We took our business to Coffee: 30 and got the best service."

"Southern Spice meets a big slam with her southern hospitality! From the greetings you receive while you are in the waiting staff coughing all the time! Such a pleasure, real customer satisfaction with a meal as close as possible at home cooking, that is SO rare in these days! You have daily specialties that satisfy one of their dessert options, the chocolate cake, lemon cake, bread pudding, or something that will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth after a great serving. The specials are totally ingenious as well as their chicken and sourcing rubber bumbo. And if you order a cup, prepare yourself to something bigger than what the other places with very nice size pieces of chicken and sausage serve! LOVED are also not shy of waiting employees of all ages! One is the sweetest lady who comes past to make sure you get everything you need to help as it is busy, so ALWAYS go early or you can wait a bit, but they get food quickly served and turn tables quickly, without feeling rushed 1 bit! Love this place and recommend to eat here to some of their specials a week!"

"First, let me start by: I really wanted to like this place Unfortunately, as you can see in the picture: that didn’t work out. Our outing started out nice for my birthday brunch, but half way through my “chefs choice” omelette I was in for a rude awakening. I was pretty grossed out at what I found in my omelette dark hair) and even more so at the conflict resolution between my server Mary) and the Chef’s resolve. Firstly, we brought this up very calmly and kindly to our server and asked her if she could please take the plate away and she was apologetic and SUPER soft spoken). I asked her as a alternative to the situation if she could bring just a new side of pulled pork and avocado sauce the filling of the “chefs choice” omelette). I was extremely shocked and even more grossed out) when she came back and said “chef inspected for more hairs and said it was clear and replated it for you”. I was really confused as to why they would replate the same omelette I was grossed out by and found the hair in and try to pass it off as okay. I was simply asking for a “new side of the pulled pork” I don’t know where that got lost in translation When I asked our server Mary) for the check, my girlfriend noticed she charged us for a pulled pork sandwich $16) when we ordered a $22 chef choice omelette. We brought it up to her and she mentioned she wrote a sandwich when she first took the order. Very confusing and seems avoidant on behalf the management here. I figured a manager or even the chef would have tried to come out and resolve or at least be apologetic about the unwanted hair in my food. Sucks that this was my birthday brunch experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back next time."

"The atmosphere was calming on a Tuesday night. I ordered the Kinsale steak, which had a fantastic twist with a crust and garnish. The colcannon was quite good as well—not kale, but a delicious alternative. I requested my steak to be cooked medium-rare, and it was not only visually appealing but also tasted fantastic. The coleslaw was excellent too. If you're looking for something different from traditional options, definitely give this place a try. The Scotch eggs make for a great appetizer as well. I'm sure I will return, and I definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Took my teenage son for Sunday brunch: the dining was fantastic and the music by the Street Side Jazz Band was amazing! (Music starts an hour after they open. Special thanks to Skylar our waitress who provided EXCELLENT service! 5/5 stars for service, food, ambience and the live music. We will definitely be back! Parking on the street out front and within easy walking distance. PRO TIP: Make sure to get there before 10:30 am on Sunday morning if you want a good seat without the wait."
