Baltimore, a historic port city, is known for its blue crabs and seafood, with dishes like crab cakes and Old Bay seasoning being local specialties.

"What a find! I will be back. Great selection and prices. I went in for just an iced coffee and left with pesto, pasta, Italian spice mix and wine. The coffee was delicious, the staff sweet as can be and the range of products and great prices is nothing short of mindblowing particularly in the small space. This isn't a giant grocery store by the way. Has a very cozy neighborhood feel. Even the other patrons are friendly- you get the feeling they are regulars. Well worth the drive in from counties outside of the city."

"As always the drinks are great. Beautiful and tasty! And the holiday decor can’t be beat. Whenever I get food beyond a board, though, I’m reminded why we don’t usually get food. I will say the toasts are also amazing — the pumpkin one was the best food we tried. We also got the potatoes this time and for 16 dollars and based on the description which contains the word “smashed,” expected pan-seared, crispy, smashed potatoes. We got whole, soft fingerling potatoes with aioli. Just not at all as described and highly overpriced. The rueben was also only okay and for 19 bucks could come with something besides chips. Still love DC but my tip is to sit at the bar and stick to drinks, snacks and boards."

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."

"This bakery FAR surpassed my expectations. I eat gluten and am not vegan, and yet, I would say that this bakery is better than most of its non vegan gluten full counterparts. The bagel was a bit coconut y, but the everything seasoning more than made up for it AND it held together very well. The cheddar cornbread was delicious the texture was nice and soft and the level of sweetness and saltiness was perfect. To be honest, I could not taste the cheddar much, though it was definitely there upon visual inspection. The morning glory muffins were also delicious, but they are definitely on the heavier side. The flavor is great and the texture is nice, but a little oily and definitely not a light breakfast by any means! And lastly, my hands down favorite was the samoa bar with chocolate and coconut. What a beautiful dessert! It is not trying to be healthy it is sweet, chewy, full of chocolate, dates, and coconut, with a little salt. A wonderful accompaniment to black coffee, which I must say, did not disappoint!"

"This little gem is located inside the broadway market. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is limited seating at the countertop but common tables for all market customers are scattered throughout. The market itself is ALL the vibes. The wafflesand chicken were lovely. My husband got the blueberry and I Opted for plain. I got the peach tea half and half and my husbandgot the lemonade. Enjoyed this lovely treat for breakfast while visiting the city. Only thing we both said was, we hoped thewaffle would be a tad more flavorful. Otherwise, it was great!"

"Possibly one of the best bakeries in the entire country? Forget crab cakes; when you’re in Baltimore, you must visit Café Dear Leon, like how a foodie trip to SF is not complete without Tartine.I was struck by how much better CDL is than even the top bakeries in NYC. They’ve mastered the art of the laminated dough—croissants, kouign amanns, danishes, quiches. Also, their scones are the best I’ve ever had.CDL releases baked goods on a strict schedule. Check their website. Once an item has sold out for the day, that’s it. The most popular items are completely gone in less than an hour on a weekend. During the colder months, CDL doesn’t have any seating as they need the space to keep guests warm while queueing. The pastries do retain their crispness throughout the day, but obviously they’re much better when fresh out of the oven.I’ll be haunted by the fact that I can’t just hop over to CDL whenever I have a craving for pastries."

"All right, so the the real reason I knew I had to visit this spot was that I had never seen Keith Lee 's eyes roll up in his head so many times while reviewing a restaurant. This spot is a little spendier per plate than my normal fare, but with such a glowing review, I had to give them a shot. Honestly, we were lucky that we were able to wait an hour for a spot at the bar as walk ins. Reservations are a must now that they 're blowing up, and I will plan better the next time I want some of this simple yet elegant fare. The service was impeccable, from the hostess helping us get on the wait list, to the bartender who was our server explaining the dishes as needed, keeping the food coming, and the waters topped up throughout dinner. The food was INCREDIBLE. We started with a small plate of the charred shrimp and an order of the truffle fries. The shrimp were a 9/10 only because I 'm comparing them in my mind to the truffle fries which were out of this world 12/10. My partner got the Salmon large plate and I got the Duck Confit Gumbo. She is a picky eater, but everything on her plate received her stamp of approval. I 've never eaten Collard Greens that I 've enjoyed, but the way they were prepared and presented with the Duck Gumbo dish was sublime. The whole plate of food was a cohesive journey that I couldn 't put down until it was done. I forget the French term for the dessert we got, but it was like a lemon y pudding that really tied the whole evening together. Final thoughts: This place is a little too spendy to be an every day adventure on my current budget, but the food was so amazing, I know I 'm going to be back. They pre charge an 18% tip, but they probably deserve more, as the service is impeccable. Keep up the great work, y 'all!"

"I really wanted to like this more than I did! The food was so bland I was surprised. They do not cook with salt at all. The paneer Definitely needed salt, they don’t bake with salt in their paratha either and the chicken Momo was pretty good but again, needed salt. I’ve never had to add salt Indian food in my life. And I’ve never had bland Indian food either. I’m used to having a burst of flavor. The atmosphere was vibrant on the restaurant was clean and everybody was friendly, but the food was a disappointment, unfortunately."

"If you’re a fan of flavored falafel and love vegetarian dishes, PitaMore is a must-visit! I was really impressed by the variety of vegetarian falafel options available. I tried the spicy falafel, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish comes with an assortment of salads including a vegetable salad, cabbage salad, hummus, pickles, baba ghanoush, and more. You can even add grape leaves to your meal. For dessert, I ordered the baklava cake, which was a delightful ending to my meal. Overall, I had an excellent first dining experience and look forward to returning!"

"This is the first true coffee shop in Canton. Thank you! The coffee and tea are excellent (I tried both). This will be my new go-to spot in Canton. It’s a fantastic alternative to the dreadful corporate chain coffee shop nearby."

"The Dive will wow you with its outstanding decor, service, and food! We walked in during the middle of a trivia game on a weekend night. We found the 40-year old vintage McDonald’s glasses amazing! The working glitter ball in the dining room made us want to dance. We arrived to a full restaurant; however, Jordan and the rest of the staff gave us flawless service from start to finish. I enjoyed my white pizza. Generally I don’t eat the crust. However, I nearly finished the freshly-baked crust on this pizza. My friends relished their Dorito pizza and cheesesteak sub. My friend commented that the cheesesteak was the best he had ever eaten. My only qualm was that the staff almost seemed to get pushy with upselling the food. However, they almost treat you like family here. This is a place to return to again and again!"

"I met Tasha outside the Southside Burger Bar after a disappointing date, and she graciously treated me to a burger while engaging me in conversation. With 17 years of experience in the food service industry, I can tell that anyone who shows such kindness after hours is truly an outstanding employee. She mentioned that she works at this restaurant, so I felt it was important to share my experience. Tasha is a lovely person, and I have no doubt that she excels as a bartender as well."

"When I approached the lady at the register to clarify the situation, saying, "Excuse me, I think someone may have taken my order, so I just want to confirm there's another one coming up," she responded quite aggressively, "NO, that was not yours! Let us do our jobs!" Taken aback by her tone, I paused for a moment. I then explained that I was fairly certain it was my order and that there was no need for her to be so aggressive, as it was clearly just a mistake. This caused her to become extremely upset, yelling, "IT WAS NOT A MISTAKE! HOW DARE YOU!" Her outburst drew the attention of several nearby customers. I told her that I would be leaving a negative review and wouldn’t be returning, then went back to my table to continue waiting, watching her go back to discuss the issue with someone in the kitchen. At that point, a man emerged from the back and informed me that they would not be serving me the sandwich I ordered, likely due to his frustration with me. He outright refused me service. Coincidentally, a security guard was present and asked me to leave. I still have not received a refund, nor the food I had paid for. I will be filing a more formal complaint about this incident, but for now, I'm sharing my experience here. One of the bystanders was an employee from a nearby store, who informed me that the man in the kitchen is the brother of the woman at the register. He mentioned that the kitchen worker often treats his sister very poorly, which impacts her daily disposition. He also stated that such negative interactions happen frequently within that establishment. An employee who frequently witnesses these types of interactions confirmed that they occur regularly. The workplace culture here is truly unacceptable. I am appalled by what transpired today. This restaurant is managed by individuals who seem to thrive on negativity for no good reason. Even if the food were enjoyable, it would feel morally wrong to support a place with such troubling behavior."

"Superb!Very kind and humble staff, everything was so fresh and pristine. Oh and they wear masks! They care about their health as well as yours!!!I picked up a loaf of cranberry-walnut sourdough. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is the best sourdough I’ve ever had in my whole life. Blueberry scone was just perfect with a cup of coffee.Lovely place, definitely worth the drive from DC. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their goodies."

"They offer a fantastic selection of both vegetarian and meat options, including eggs, fresh vegetables, and fruits, along with premium drinks, making for a delightful dining experience. Horatio, the owner, is incredibly kind and patient—a genuinely cheerful person. His staff is equally happy and well-organized, even when he's not around. The cleanliness and upkeep of the place are impressive; I never expected to find such a tidy spot in a market stall in Baltimore City! However, it's important to note that the outdoor seating area is not wheelchair accessible due to a 3-4 inch concrete rise, which might be manageable for a confident wheelchair user, but I find it a bit tricky. That said, it's an issue with the building itself, not the business. If you grab your crepes and choose to sit elsewhere, you won't be disappointed with your meal. Don't forget to add a salad to your order—it's fresh and delicious!"

"For our 2nd anniversary, I surprised my wife with dinner at Ammoora on a Saturday night. We parked on the hill next to the VAM. I had hoped to reserve the courtyard but with less than a week’s notice, we could only book the dining room—lesson learned for next time! The interior was stunning, with beautiful attention to detail. The owner warmly welcomed us and kindly moved us to a table by the fountain when we asked, which made the evening feel even more special. We began with drinks—my wife had a passion fruit and tequila cocktail called Wild Wild West, which she loved (a bit sweet for me). I tried Arak for the first time, served chilled over ice. Our waiter even showed us how to mix it with water, turning the anise-flavored liquor a milky white. For those unfamiliar, it tastes somewhat like Jägermeister. For starters, we shared the Beyti Sujuk Rolls and the Octopus. Both dishes were excellent, particularly the rolls—ground beef wrapped in crispy lavash, topped with yogurt and pistachio—a unique and delicious combination I hadn’t tried before. For our main course, we shared the short rib freekeh, which was moist and flavorful, almost like a risotto. The short rib was tender and melted in our mouths, complemented perfectly by a rich sauce. Still hungry, we also shared the lamb chops with couscous. The lamb was cooked rare as requested, and the couscous was perfectly salty and satisfying. To finish, we enjoyed madlouka—a creamy pistachio dessert served in a cocktail glass. The owner stopped by again to congratulate us on our anniversary and generously offered us complimentary champagne to end the night. The hospitality and service here were truly exceptional—10 out of 10. If I had to offer one critique, it’s that because Ammoora is very popular on a Saturday night, many tables in the dining room felt a bit lively rather than quiet and intimate, which slightly impacted the romantic atmosphere—but it didn’t take away from the fun. Overall, it was a wonderful setting for our anniversary, and I have no regrets. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+ Recommended dishes: Short Rib Freekeh, Beyti Sujuk Rolls, Special Occasion"

"I overlooked this restaurant for quite a while since it's located in the Federal Hill area of Baltimore. However, it turns out to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the city. I'll need to update my review with some photos later. I really enjoy their soft shell crab salad appetizer, and the curries are quite good—particularly the Massaman and green curry. I was disappointed with the Pad Thai, so I would suggest skipping that to save some calories. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly; they’ll even bring you a mini lazy Susan filled with hot sauces if you ask. The space is quite large, with an upstairs area, and it definitely has a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. It's a great place for a meal during the week or on a weeknight!"

"I wouldn’t recommend staying overnight at this place, but if you’re bringing friends in from the city, it's a great spot. You can order food from another location (I recommend LP Steamfer) and enjoy it here while Harry mixes up some fantastic cocktails and shares insider tips about Southern Baltimore. Plus, there's a big selection of beers!"

"Best barbeque in Maryland! I frequent this particular store due to the fact their inventory is always intact. I love the brisket! Never have I been disappointed. It's always moist when supposed to be moist. And the sliced is just as good. Theimpeccable courteous customer service is always excellent. There is no other restaurant chain that is consistent with this levelof joy as soon as you walk through the door"
