We picked up a good meal for 4 today. My kids loved the rice and noodles from the hibachi chicken. The adults felt like it needed a little more flavor but otherwise good. We also got sushi rolls and they were all on point. I definitely recommend thetempura shrimp, that was fantastically crispy and flavorful! View menu

This place is one of our favorites. We haven't been disappointed when we sit down to eat or order out. We enjoy almost every meal we have had! Recently, the breading on their tempura had changed but I hope that the lighter version that had beenpreviously used will come back. Other than that it is a top notch place to eat in Mt. Airy

Terrible experience. Food was lousy, with no flavor. We were a party of 7 that was packed with another party of 7 at one table. No room for any of us. It took 40 minutes after sitting to get our soup and then another 20 minutes for the salad. 20 minutesafter that the cook showed up where he rushed the meal and the dinner was just awful. Will not be back.

What really stood out was the warmth of the people. You can tell they're genuinely happy and kind. One of the owners, a lovely woman, gave us a heartfelt goodbye as we left, even opening the door to express her thanks. It was a quieter Monday for them, which made her gesture even more special. They truly take pride in making sure you have a wonderful experience and enjoy your meal. One of the female owners was particularly lovely; as we were leaving, she gave us a heartfelt goodbye and even opened the door after we stepped out to thank us again. It was a Monday, which is typically a quieter day for them, and their kindness was truly appreciated. You can tell they take great pride in making sure you enjoy your meal and experience. We also got to witness a family celebrating their son's 21st birthday, complete with a fun birthday show featuring a gong and singing—it was such a lovely touch.

Surah Japanese Steak House is a pleasant dining setting with very welcoming staff. There is a full bar, hibachi tables, sushi counter, and regular dining tables. The restaurant was just finishing up preparations to open, but we were seated, and our drinks were served promptly. I enjoyed an artfully prepared sashimi appetizer. Our main dishes came with tasty fried rice, noodles, soothing miso soup, mixed vegetables, and salad with a delicious peanut dressing. Frequent customer and was very disappointed by our dining experience this evening. We went to dinner to celebrate my grandsons birthday, and were comfortably seated at our table with a booth, which was great to accommodate our 2 year old. The chef came to the table and asked us to move because he said the table was not working. When dining with a 2 year old moving all of your items isn’t an easy task, but we managed. Shortly after we were moved, guests were seated at the table we were asked to be moved from and served from there!
