Taberna Street Tacos

First visit was OK. Our server was friendly and the food was good, especially for the price. Good drink selection. We were rushed off of the patio at the end of our meal by a different server, which left a sour taste in my mouth.

This is a fantastic spot with delicious food. I've only tried the tacos, but I ended up having seven different varieties, and they were all outstanding. The service was excellent as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The food was decent, but the service left something to be desired. We only saw the waitstaff when we placed our order and when we paid the bill. I had to ask another staff member about a missing part of our meal. We'll give it another shot, but we'll sit at the bar next time. View menu

Great environment for friends having a happy hour, a meal with family, and anything in between. The food is delicious and for a very good price. Wonderful, friendly staff too! A friend and I shared Tacos for Two and it was awesome! The Elote was so yummyand the tres leche was one of the best I?ve tasted!

Cute restaurant near Lake Harriet. It is set in a commercial setting and there are many restaurants around. I chose this one because it has a large outdoor patio and I can't stand the cold air conditioning inside the places during the summer. Good tacos prepared with care and average prices. I recommend it.

The food isnt worth paying for. Be forewarned that you won't be allowed to pay individually if you are dining with a group. The service is inconsistent. Our waiter was nice on this visit, but the first time I was here, the service was nearly non existent.Believe me, there are waaay better Mexican restaurants you can eat at. This is a nice spot to enjoy a beer, catch a game, or relax on the patio. The staff was friendly, but I found the food to be quite bland and lacking in flavor. I ordered the burrito bowl, which seemed like it had been pre-made and just heated up. Our meal consisted of two bowls, beers, and chips with salsa, and it came to $65, including the tip. The salsa was quite salty, and the hot sauce options were limited to ketchup and Cholula.

Finally came to Taberna and I am mad at myself for not coming here sooner. The service is fast, knowledgeable and friendly. The food- incredible. We had the Taberna Nachos and three kinds of tacos.Carne Asada- steak was seasoned well and not dry.Pork Belly- DELICIOUS. If you eat pork belly, order it.Baja Fish- Huge piece of perfectly fried fish the right amount creamy slaw.So with all this said, here is another huge plus- a rewards program! To begin with, the service was prompt and friendly. I was seated outside almost immediately upon entering (this was on a Tuesday evening), and my drink order was taken right away. The bartender clearly knows how to pour, but despite ordering a spicy margarita, it lacked the expected kick. I started with their nachos, and while all the necessary ingredients for a proper plate were present, it ultimately fell short on flavor.
