The portion was pretty decent. Their garlic bread was super tasty. I feel like they could have put in a little more of the meat, considering the price. Overall, great experience

Our family went for a late dinner after arriving in town. Service was good. Garlic shrimp appetizer was good. My girls were not impressed with the shrimp Alfredo but very happy with the service and my man’s chicken parm was very good. He was very happy with it. Their selection of beers on tap is very impressive.

The chicken cheese steak to me was a little plain, over chopped chicken with limited spices on a run of the mill bun paired with the most standard chips. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem and has been a family favorite for years. The cheese steaks are fantastic, but the Italian hoagie stands out among its competitors (tip: be sure to ask for the Italian dressing to accompany it). My family and I have always had positive experiences here, and the service is always warm and friendly.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering the shrimp appetizer. Our server was good, and although the hostesses were quite young, they managed well. However, it became obvious with our main course that the restaurant is focused on maximizing profits. The portions were small, and the food was unremarkable—just enough to satisfy without inviting too many complaints.

It has years since I have eaten at the Mad Italian. Why did I wait so long? Had a craving for a Philly cheese steak sandwich. My wife and I each had one.... Wow they were delicious. Just the perfect amount of meat and cheese. The bread was fresh and was the perfect match for the sandwich. I opted for fries and my wife had tots Both were good fries were a little better. This restaurant seems to cater primarily to an older white clientele who may not be familiar with Latin or Italian cuisine. The lasagna I had tasted like it was frozen, lacking sauce and made with subpar cheese. The service was disappointing as well; the waiter approached without any introduction, and I had to ask for his name—Jack. I can't imagine returning here unless it were during a zombie apocalypse. The music was also quite bland, and the only thing that felt Italian about the place was the name. The photo of the lasagna I ordered really highlights the absence of sauce.

Philly native here. I lived in the Atlanta area for 12 years now. I read great things about the cheesesteaks here. I finally got a chance to try one. I got “The BIG DADDY” for $20 to go. I couldn’t wait to get home to eat it. When I got home, I opened the container and there it was… an average daddy. : It tasted pretty good, but it didn’t live up to the hype especially for $20. The people at mad Italian were friendly and the service was good. I didn’t wait long for my average daddy. I like the place and would go again if I was in the area, but wouldn’t drive 40 minutes and pay $20 for a cheesesteak.

Wonderful wait staff, lovely atmosphere, but low quality food sums up the experience. Ordered the Philly without onion for my girlfriend and got one with only meat, no other toppings. Ordered the chicken parmesan for myself. The chicken parmesan was prepped properly but was lacking flavor. The sauce was likely not made in house and the parmesan used was highly processed. All bread served was not toasted properly and very bland. Best Philly south of Philadelphia is probably the opposite of true. Likely the worst one I 've tasted.
