"The Pampered Palate Cafe is located in downtown, which can make parking a bit tricky, but we were able to score a street spot. It's a cozy little place with limited seating, yet the wait was hardly noticeable. They feature an impressive menu filled with unique and flavorful dishes. I opted for the chili, and it was fantastic. The quesadilla appetizer was good, though it could have used a bit more cheese. My wife enjoyed a Reuben sandwich that struck a lovely balance of high-quality meat and herbs, with fresh bread and tasty chips on the side. I appreciated the option of fresh fruit instead of chips. I tried the "Betsey," a pastrami sandwich that had the ideal balance of meat and bread. I paired it with a local blueberry sour beer, and for dessert, we indulged in a pumpkin cheesecake that was simply delightful. If you’re in Staunton, be sure to stop by for a wonderful lunch!"

Food was excellent!! Quaint murals and quiet place to grab a bite. We had the Ham cheese, a Chicken Salad sandwich, and the Parking Garage Club. All fantastically delicious!

Love the pampered palate! Food is consistent in taste. Doesn't matter if you go today or years ago! Dinning in the downstairs takes you to another place small bistro in France atmosphere!

This is for the home-grown local. They have good sandwiches at reasonable prices but you'll find yourself most charmed by the staff who knows every local's name that walks through the door. As an outsider it is fun to sit and enjoy a great Chicken salad sandwich and watch the wheels of small town life turn at this home-grown restaurant. View menu

I dined here with my mom and sister during a lovely ?ladies day trip? visit to Staunton. One of the historical guides at the Frontier Culture Museum recommended this cafe as a nice place for mother daughter groups, and she was so right! We had adelightful time and a lovely light lunch. I?m vegan and ordered the avocado wrap, but had lots of other salads, sandwiches, andwraps to choose from. The staff was friendly, and the old building was cute and charming.

This review is for breakfast. Ok coffee. Decent service. Fruit was good. They have a small breakfast menu and they were out of one of them, biscuits and gravy. It was a Saturday morning and we were the second couple in the shop after it opened at 9am.Maybe that was a blessing though, because I don't think they would have been scratch made given that you could only havescrambled eggs as part of your breakfast plate. This place just doesn't care about breakfast and you have many other greatchoices in Staunton.
