"To be completely transparent, my review focuses solely on the Hippopotamus Pool area. We didn't stay at the resort, but the pool is open to the public. The photos and videos online give a different impression of the pool compared to the reality. First off, there are only about 10 lounge chairs available for the entire area, and the remaining white wicker chairs are in poor condition. There is no shade or umbrellas unless you pay $25 per hour to rent a cabana (with a two-hour minimum), which we decided to do since we planned to spend a good part of the day there with our teenagers. However, the cabanas were quite shabby. It wouldn’t take much effort to make them ready for guests, but apparently, there’s a labor shortage in the area. We had to scavenge furniture from other empty cabanas to assemble a decent setup in one that actually had a roof. Most cabanas had side curtains, but they were flimsy and incomplete. Plus, there were no cushions for the wicker seating. The swim-up bar was understaffed; although the one bartender was efficient, he wasn't particularly friendly (then again, I can't blame him for being overwhelmed handling the bar alone). The food situation was particularly chaotic. We ordered at the swim-up bar, only to have to retrieve our food from a building on the pool deck. There was only one cook, and he kept the shutters closed, making it impossible to know when the food was ready. Overall, I’m thankful that pool admission was free and really relieved we chose not to stay at the resort, as I can't imagine it being any better managed."

This resort is quite worn out and in desperate need of updates. While the location was decent, the pool was in poor condition. The game room in the basement, which included a bar, felt a bit odd. We also rented a condo, and it was disappointing as well—I've shared that feedback on VRBO.

The Staff in the upper Bar and Dining Room are the Best. The lovely Bartender and Wait Staff are very personable, kind and have a great sense of humor. My hats off and thanks to Susan and the Chef for a memorable dinner of Lobster Scampi, lemonade, salad and conversation. Very enjoyable and met about a dozen new friends.

We went to a Little Texas concert. This was our first time to visit the Regalia so we arrived early parked right up front by the pool area. Went to the restaurant in the motel had one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Went to the concert set close to the stage. They had 3 warm up groups before Little Texas the music played for three and a half hours. The weather was perfect we had an amazing time!!

I came for the pool party and fireworks. The Lake Water is Awesome.Basic Chick is just that.A hot dog is a hot dog until it’s topped w the good stuff, waffle fries yum.Music went nonstop, cabanas $50/2hoursI always been a lakeside type but the breeze and view from hilltop has me ready to return for a stay. Unfortunately the drought and fire dept snuffed the fireworks. It’s a good time, chill or all out there’s a place for everything. View menu

The only decent thing here is the outdoor pool. Limited amenities in the room (who needs soap, right?, terrible beds and pillows with a horrible view despite the price we paid. Even the super cheap and replaceable shower fixture desperately needs replaced. It's very obvious the owner doesn't care about the people staying here. We didn't even have the advertised bath robes, though that's inconsequential. Lastly, the layout is TERRIBLE. Signs point towards the indoor pool down one end of the hallway, then point to the other end of the hallway when you get to the end.

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay at the Regalia Hotel. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The outdoor pool and bar were exceptional, featuring friendly staff who served amazing cocktails and delicious burgers. The restaurant offered a variety of delightful starters, flavorful steaks, fresh salads, sweet wines, and many other tasty dishes, all served by warm and respectful waitstaff. If you enjoy brandy and cigars, their exclusive bar with its unique decor and cozy atmosphere will surely be your favorite spot. Additionally, the general manager, Mr. Mikki Moore, was incredibly hospitable and personable. Thank you for making our trip truly wonderf...

Two weeks ago, we stayed there for one night with our two grandchildren. Unfortunately, the hippopotamus pool was closed and the only other pool with a swim-up bar was just 3 feet deep, which made it unsuitable for swimming. We were initially placed in a room with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa, which was great, but the sofa was broken. As a result, we were moved to another room down the hall. That morning, the children's grandmother found a capsule and a pill lying openly on the carpet near the pull-out bed. I reported this to the hotel staff, but their only response was, “I’m sorry.” Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel, as many amenities were not functioning properly, and even the b... View menu

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! When we checked into the first room, it was appalling—there were brown stains on the comforter, greasy handprints on the headboard, and hair everywhere. The floor hadn't been vacuumed either. I called the front desk, and the staff immediately moved us to another room, which I quickly regretted, as it was even worse than the first one. The smell of mold nearly took my breath away when we opened the door. I wouldn't even use the toilet without putting on gloves and cleaning it myself, and the paper towels were completely filthy. After all that, we paid nearly $250 a night for a room that was absolutely unacceptable. They should be ashamed of thems...

In terms of pool amenities, we received only three towels for two adults and three children, and there were none available by the pool itself. The bartenders at the pool were incredibly rude and slow. To make matters worse, the computers at the bar were not synced, making it a hassle to order drinks from different staff members. The pictures online are deceiving; there are hardly any lounge chairs by the pool, which is insufficient for the number of guests. Despite the pool being scheduled to open at 10 a.m., the staff kept it locked, as if they didn’t want to do their jobs. We weren't let in until 10:22 a.m. after I had to argue with the bartender to prove we were hotel guests. Renting t...
