"Went last night to try a new coffee shop. Nice place inside, but it felt like I walked into something shady. There were 2 gentlemen on the side with a woman that I guess were handling business stuff. The 2 men would look up at me and nod. Then there were people coming in the back door heading out the front saying thank you. It was weird to say the least. The barista knew what he was doing and was able to make my wife's iced decaf coffee, but didn't have whipped cream. Then I watched the grinding of the bean for my cappuccino. It was a very light brown dry powder. Looked like old beans with no more oils left. And tasted like old coffee too. I know I'm picky about my coffee, but I know fresh good coffee and I don't settle. Do everyone a favor and throw out those beans.Sorry yall, but I won't be back."

Awesome place. Staff (and owner) are super friendly. Coffee is on point and warning house made pastries are addicting!

The espresso shot at this restaurant was the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was incredibly kind.

Thank you for the vegan latte! I truly loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The LGBTQIA art displayed outside caught my attention and attracted me inside. View menu

This place is so cute. They have vegan options, and socially distanced tables. I got the vegan chocolate cake and I'm obsessed with it. The cold brew is also great. I love the sip lids that they have, but they did offer a straw if we wanted.

I stopped by with my mom this afternoon after flying into JAX. We had a pillowy cappuccino with a perfectly dialed in Honduras espresso and a delicate Ethiopian pour over. The barista, Casey, was killing it behind the bar when we walked in and still took time to share some good recommendations for other spots. Thanks for brightening our day

Good spot for grabbing some good coffee made with love by the barista’s here. Didn’t catch the guys name but he was very in tune with the coffee and they had some nice jazz music going. They were constantly getting people come in and with only one guy I know that is hard. But he is doing his thing. Free WIFI, restaurant, outside seating, wine, tea’s snacks and some sandwiches. Seating was limited and not the most comfortable but it works. View menu

Vagabond Coffee used to be my favorite coffee shop; so much so, that I’d go out of my way to patronize their business. Unfortunately, since Chase left, their customer service has gone downhill. The baristas seem annoyed and the owner is very selective about who he greets and he is slightly rude. It’s unfortunate, because their coffee is great. However, as a regular for the past three years I’d expect better customer service. I can truly see the difference.

Vagabond is such a cool spot. They have really great drinks with so many creative choices! I have yet to try the Apple Cider Mimosa, but next time I’m in Murray Hill, I will absolutely be getting that! I love how awesome everyone is in this area too. Lots of cool people to talk to and honestly just vibe with. It’s right next to the Murray Hill Theatre that has a bunch of local shows. Plus, it’s in an area in Jax that highly underrated in my opinion. Vagabond is a Jax coffee staple. Also, get their matcha latte! It automatically comes with lavender and vanilla

"Had Foie Gras and Escargots for starters. Foie Gras was done to perfection with a little sweetness in the currant topping to blend wonderfully with the rich creaminess of the foie gras itself. The escargots were perfect. The light cream sauce with just the right whisper of garlic and fine strips of spinach richly supported the tender escargots. My entree was the bone in pork chop. It was superbly prepared, a nice light crispness on the outside and todiefor lush, tender, juicy meat on the inside. The apple compote accompaniment added a perfect sweet foil to the meaty toast of the chop.Perfectly done.Other entrees at the table included braised ox tail and the scallops. Both were expertly prepared. The ox tail was rich with a wonderful sauce that brought out the best of both meat and bone marrow, very satisfying. The white acre peas and fried shishito peppers that rounded out the dish were the right balance to the richness of the ox tail and were cooked to perfection. The scallops served atop creamed corn and english peas were also a delight. The scallops were good size, but extremely delicate and tender and the accompanying corn and peas outstanding. the pickled shallots were a real surprise adding a very inspired and charming savory element to the dish. Outstanding all around! While one might think it couldn't get better than this it did. Our service was provided by Beau, maybe BOW for his Bowtiewho was both our waiter and the sommelier for Matthews. His professional attentiveness and conversation was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. Bravo Beau!"

"Black Sheep is a great restaurant. The service is almost always excellent and this trip was no exception. Our waiter was great, personable and prompt. We had multiple happy hour cocktails which were of high quality and delivered quickly. The happy hour drinks are a great value. The Dusty Boot is my favorite and I hope it never leaves the menu. The food was good and tasty. The kitchen at Black Sheep is one of the best in Jacksonville. However the price for the food, even for the happy hour items, is getting out of hand. I have visited Black Sheep since they have opened. I’ve watched the pricing on the food increase over time and several items are now 30-50% higher than they were several years ago. Vegetable sides for dinner are now $7-8 dollars. A large salad is $14. These items used to be $5 and $10. The cheapest sliders for happy hour are $9. There is less meat on all three sliders combined than would be in a single small sandwich. The cheapest main for dinner is a $15 burger WITHOUT CHEESE. A slice of cheese is $1. One. Dollar. So $16 for a cheese burger and some shoestring fries. I know it’s grass fed beef but still! It’s obscene. If someone at Black Sheep is reading this, please, work on that menu and the pricing. You have slowly priced a loyal customer out of visiting your restaurant. You have good food but the value is no longer there. You have competition now, even in your own neighborhood. I love your restaurant and want you to win me back."
