"I waited 35 minutes for my Brussels sprout appetizer and chicken entrée, but they never arrived. Eventually, I paid for my drink and decided to leave. I’m from Maine, so I'm used to a slower pace, but this was just absurd. When I left, I noticed other customers doing the same thing. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you have a couple of hours to spare. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 3."

Lovely porch area and a great cocktail (sidecar) to start with. I had 2 appetizers for dinner: ½ portion of cacio e pepe cajun shrimp. But the best part was the key lime pie wow!

Took a break to grab a bite. With all the burgers we've been eating this week, we thought of giving a turkey burger a shot, can't recommend it enough! How about those truffle fries?

Food was wonderfully fresh with simple preparations. I started with half a dozen oysters and then scallops with risotto. Service was prompt and friendly, and you can't beat the waterside view. View menu

One of our favorite restaurants! Great, friendly staff and owner, great food and drinks, fun atmosphere and a beautiful view of the water! Get the seared scallops with sweet pea risotto or the Chicken Madeira ? or anything, really. It's all delicious!

Great food and service! Lovely view. Our server knew we were old friends catching up and let us take our time. It was his birthday so we have him a big tip. Would go again. I had the bolognese because I’d been eating seafood for days and the half portion was plenty for lunch.

Excellent service at the bar with a decent wine list and a tasty selection of apps and entrees. The cacio e pepe was great and just what I wanted for lunch as we passed through Wiscasset on the way up to Bar Harbor. Also really enjoyed the truffle fries. Great views of the water, too! View menu

"The bar, though small with only about six seats, boasted an impressive selection of red wines. My wife chose an excellent Malbec from Argentina for $9 a glass, while I enjoyed a Sam Adams winter lager. The bar was well-stocked with a variety of bourbons, whiskeys, and other spirits. At our reservation time, our server escorted us to our table, which was nicely arranged with about ten tables in the cozy dining area—half for couples and half for groups of four. I estimate there were around 34 guests during the 5:30 seating, and the atmosphere was intimate with a nice noise level, perfect for conversation. It's not the ideal place for large parties of 14 to 20 unless you’ve made special arrangements with the owner or chef. As for the menu, it changes with the seasons and featured dishes perfect for December's chill. I did wish for a warm soup option, but it wasn't available that night. We started with a wonderful arugula salad topped with shaved root vegetables and a tasty dressing, paired with fried calamari on the side. For our main courses, my wife had the yellowfin/ahi tuna priced at $26, while I opted for the rack of lamb at $35, served with potatoes and green peas. Both dishes were cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious! We were glad to have saved room for dessert; we shared a scrumptious carrot coconut cake that was the perfect end to our meal. The total for our dinner came to $160 for two. The only thing this restaurant could use to enhance the experience would be a nice view, perhaps a cozy fireplace for winter or a lovely bay view with sailboats at sunset. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic meal with excellent service in a cozy atmosphere, making it a spot I’d happily return to with family or good friends. Thank you, Little Village Bistro!"
