Wigle Whiskey Distillery

Everything is great from the liquor and food to the staff and atmosphere! I’ve visited several times and always have a great time. It’s hard to pick a favorite spirit they are all so tasty for each style

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the decor is truly stunning. However, the espresso martini didn't meet my expectations. It could be that I should have realized this might not be the best place for it given the menu, so that's on me. Despite that, I still had a great time!

I stopped by for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food! I ended up staying longer to soak in the great atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff all around. I can't speak to the food nor whiskey as I only had a ginger beer (which was top-notch). But my dad thoroughly enjoyed his flavored whiskey sampling and had trouble deciding which one he liked best. The massive windows had light pouring into the bar, great vibes. I forget our servers name, but she was very attentive and a pleasure to chat with. Will go again.

We absolutely LOVED stopping here while visiting Pittsburgh! The spirit flights were extremely reasonable, and they had a myriad of craft cocktails. This was great for me as I primarily like gin and vodka, versus the typical bourbon and rye served at distilleries. It was a beautiful location with great service. Ask for a small sample before getting a full pour!

I loved it! The bourbon, especially the rye was great. I tried the founder's flight, and my bro tried the reserve flight. Both were excellent. I hung out chatting with the bartender, getting pointers on improving my cocktails at home, and I had the opportunity to chat with one of the distillers, who was happy to talk all things whiskey and distillation. I wish I could say the food or the beer was flat but I never got served. 4:30 in the afternoon ready to watch the Pirates game and feel the baseball vibe I sat at the bar. I waited 2 minutes before getting a glance. I was asked what I wanted and I said a menu. He gave it to me in a gruff and moved on to pouring beers. I sat for 10 minutes watching him and other bartenders and servers go around and around. I never got another look. And yes other people did get served and yes I was the only black man in the restaurant.

The fantastic staff showed kindness to us, unfortunate Brits, who were unaware of how hot it would be or that nothing would open until later (note to self: plan better next time). They graciously opened their doors a bit early and let us sit in the delightful air-conditioned bar until their official opening. Naturally, we couldn’t resist trying some of their offerings. The fries were excellent, and the drinks were wonderfully refreshing. I was especially encouraged to try the Pirates lemonade by the friendly bar staff. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning later to watch the game.

Thank goodness for Hannah, who was the only competent person in the building. We gave them the benefit of the doubt but holy hell, that was a painful experience. We sat at the bar for 25+ minutes before any acknowledgment and they gave us water and then we waited an additional 15 minutes to actually take our order. Numerous times we wondered if we were invisible because of the lack of service. Come to realize anyone who sat at the bar had horrible service until Hannah showed up. There were two guys as servers who were so idiotic and useless. They spent more time shuffling menus than actually working. I just can’t deal anymore. Never again.
