"I placed a takeout order for fried chicken, fries, and okra, and was informed it would be ready in 10 minutes. I left for the restaurant as soon as I hung up the phone. I arrived within six minutes, paid for my meal, and began waiting. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I was told that there was a “hold on the chicken.” As I waited, I noticed the staff bringing out plates of chicken to other customers and thought my order would be ready soon. However, after another 10 minutes, when I inquired again, I was informed once more that there was a hold on the chicken.
In total, I waited 30 minutes for my takeout order, only to receive a lackluster “sorry about that” from the employee at the to-go window. The manager or owner seemed indifferent to my long wait, as she continued to assist other customers while I remained at the window. When I asked why my order was taking so long, the employee explained that they prioritize the food for dine-in customers first.
At this point, I should have simply asked for my money back. I won’t be returning again."
