"The star of the night was undoubtedly the Szechuan eggplant. It was perfectly cooked—soft and smothered in a delicious sauce. The spices and seasonings provided a delightful kick, making it the highlight of our meal. I highly recommend trying this dish when you visit Emerald Chinese Cuisine. The salt and pepper chicken was another winner. The chicken had a perfect crispy exterior and was juicy inside, with seasoning that struck the right balance of salty and slightly spicy. The accompanying dipping sauce was an excellent complement and left us wanting more. The chicken fried rice was a classic choice that certainly didn’t disappoint. The rice was fluffy and well-cooked, and the chicken was both flavorful and abundant. While it may not have been the most adventurous option, it was genuinely tasty and satisfying. The Mongolian beef also stood out for its tender, flavorful meat and a delicious sauce that enhanced the dish perfectly. We couldn’t get enough of it. Unfortunately, the Singaporean noodles fell short of our expectations. They lacked the authentic flavors we were hoping for and didn’t stand up to the other dishes. While not terrible, they simply didn’t have the rich and complex tastes we anticipated. On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself had a pleasant atmosphere, featuring modern and inviting décor that made our dining experience enjoyable. Overall, our visit to Emerald Chinese Cuisine at Jamul Casino was quite enjoyable. The Szechuan eggplant, salt and pepper chicken, chicken fried rice, and Mongolian beef were all fantastic, though the Singaporean noodles were a bit of a letdown. If you’re in the mood for delicious Chinese cuisine with plenty of options, I highly recommend checking out Emerald Chinese Cuisine."

"**Pros:** We visited for a Saturday night dinner and were the only customers there. Our server, Michael, greeted us with a smile and was very attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The customer service was friendly and accommodating. As for the food, we started with the Caprese salad, which mentioned grape tomatoes, but what we received were large slices of red tomato instead (four in total). Not a big deal, though. The chef's special Ribeye Steak, priced at $29 and cooked medium, came with mushroom Marsala sauce, asparagus, and potatoes served on a huge silver platter – it was outstanding. The Veal Parmigiana with spaghetti in red sauce was also delicious, nicely presented, and portioned just right. Both meals included a choice of a house salad consisting of romaine lettuce, black olives, and chopped tomatoes, with a choice of one of three dressings, or soup of the day, which was minestrone. **Cons:** However, shortly after our bread basket and water were served, I was shocked to spot a fly. There’s nothing more annoying than having flies buzzing around your food, plates, and glasses in a nice restaurant. When our house salads arrived, more flies showed up, and when our main courses came out, it became hard to enjoy our meal, as we were constantly swatting flies away from our plates, utensils, glasses, table, and even our faces. I can only imagine if flies had landed on our food just before it was served. I'm relieved I didn't order the swordfish, as that surely would have attracted even more flies. We genuinely wanted to enjoy this place, but the fly situation is a serious concern. Despite the doors being closed, the AC running, and the fans blowing, it made for a rather uncomfortable dining experience."
