"I wanted to grab some Thai food for lunch before visiting a family member in the hospital. I initially planned to go to the Thai restaurant next door, but when I arrived, I was shocked to find the owner using what looked like a leaf blower to clear dust from his dim and uninviting establishment—this was just ten minutes after their posted opening time. He rudely instructed us to step aside and wait outside until he finished. I didn’t have time for that kind of attitude and lack of customer service, so I chose to head to Charm Thai instead.
What a difference! The contrast between Charm Thai and the restaurant next door was astounding. Charm Thai was bright, clean, and welcoming. The staff treated us warmly, making us feel appreciated rather than like a nuisance. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, making for a pleasant experience overall.
If you're a fan of pho or Thai boat noodles, you must try their boat noodle broth—it’s the best I’ve ever had! You can really tell it’s made in-house with authentic ingredients, and it’s clear a lot of love goes into it. The broth was incredibly aromatic and comforting. I highly recommend stopping by Charm Thai if you're in the Downtown Winston area!"
