"I have no issues with the cashier; they were polite and helpful. However, I ordered a veggie Chicago dog and a veggie BBQ dog before my night shift at work. I do not eat meat—I'm not a vegan or someone who identifies as a vegetarian. If I did, I would be cooking my own meals, but I simply avoid meat for personal reasons.
After placing my order, I left for work, wanting to eat early because I can't leave my department once I’m on shift. About 30 minutes later, I took a bite of the veggie BBQ dog in my car, only to find it completely smothered in bacon bits. I would have taken a photo, but I rushed over to Wienerschnitzel for a replacement. The cashier checked with the kitchen staff and insisted that bacon bits were standard for that hot dog. I explained that I had eaten this item before, and it typically comes with a veggie wiener, without any bacon. I even pay around two dollars extra for the veggie option compared to the meat version.
Eventually, they prepared another one correctly, with BBQ sauce, onions, and pickles on a veggie wiener and bun. I barely made it back to work with just five minutes to spare. However, after I took a couple of bites at my desk, I ended up feeling very sick and had to throw both hot dogs away. I’m not sure if they accidentally gave me meat wieners or if the food was spoiled, but I have never experienced this before, even at their Montebello and Pico Rivera locations.
This experience wasted my time, money, and gas. On a positive note, I did enjoy the jalapeño poppers later on. I often wish I could cook my own meals, but my busy schedule makes it difficult to find time for shopping and cooking. Those who work night shifts can relate to how exhausting it can be alongside morning responsibilities.
I really don’t want to waste gas for fast food places, but I often feel like I have no choice. I’ve noticed numerous mistakes at various fast food establishments, coupled with rising prices. It's frustrating to think that some staff members are earning $20 an hour when they can't even get simple orders right, like coffee with cream and sugar on the side.
As for vegetarian options? I’m not entirely sure if what I received was truly vegetarian. Be sure to check your food before leaving!"
