"We started with a tamale, which was huge and filled with generous chunks of pork—no mystery meat here—and a substantial amount of masa, all wrapped in a large banana leaf. We also shared a beef taco that was simply garnished with fresh cilantro and onions, and it tasted incredibly authentic with a squeeze of lime on top.
Then we ordered two entrees: she had the Camarones de Acapulqueños, and I went for the Flautas de Pollo. I can confidently say that this is true Mexican food. Dining here feels like having a meal in a friend's childhood home in Central Mexico, enjoying family recipes passed down through generations. The dishes are prepared just right and are far from Tex-Mex. Don’t get me wrong; I grew up on Tex-Mex, but it’s refreshing to find an authentic taste of Mexico here in Pensacola.
If you’re looking for chips and salsa with cheese dip, this isn’t the place for you. But you’ll be glad you came. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and don’t forget to check out the fantastic selection of food next door! -B"
