"We started with a tamale, which was huge and filled with generous chunks of pork—no mystery meat here—and a substantial amount of masa, all wrapped in a large banana leaf. We also shared a beef taco that was simply garnished with fresh cilantro and onions, and it tasted incredibly authentic with a squeeze of lime on top. Then we ordered two entrees: she had the Camarones de Acapulqueños, and I went for the Flautas de Pollo. I can confidently say that this is true Mexican food. Dining here feels like having a meal in a friend's childhood home in Central Mexico, enjoying family recipes passed down through generations. The dishes are prepared just right and are far from Tex-Mex. Don’t get me wrong; I grew up on Tex-Mex, but it’s refreshing to find an authentic taste of Mexico here in Pensacola. If you’re looking for chips and salsa with cheese dip, this isn’t the place for you. But you’ll be glad you came. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and don’t forget to check out the fantastic selection of food next door! -B"

This place is great! I always get the chicken quesadilla and tacos. Eat here at least once a week.

I have to say, it's almost as good as the food truck on Davis behind the gas station. I got six tacos and each one was quite delicious. There were only two sauces. The red one was spicy spicy and the green was alot milder. The prices are comparable and it's kinda hidden inside the store. Will definitely be back to try the other food items.

The restaurant was so clean and the tacos were delicious! My husband and I live in Montgomery and came to the beach for the weekend and stayed here on the way home! This place is so well done, complete class and friendly service. They also impressed us with their ethnic decor! He told us they imported everything from Mexico! we love it and will be back!!

This place is very colorful and clean, not crowded at. The food is absolutely delicious, very fresh and extremely affordable, and you know that it's fresh because it's attached to the market next door and I highly recommend walking through the passage in the wall or through the front entrance to check it out, I was in awe. I've never been to Mexico but this place looks legit to me. View menu

This is the place to go if you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is smaller and connected to the market. The food was excellent, even down to the chips, which were much better than basic Mexican restaurant style chips. The menu is a decent size and straight forward. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. We will definitely be returning. Glad we found this hidden gem!

This place is soooo good. We even went back the next day for lunch again! It’s connected to the grocery store between the store and Vallarta. Such a nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Clean, affordable, and absolutely delicious. I had the asada quesadilla and two tacos… barbacoa, and carnitas. They bring you chips and salsa for the table and they have a rotating selection of flavored waters that are delicious. We had the pineapple and papaya. Soooooo good. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

There are so many fantastic dishes to mention (we've tried quite a few), but honestly, you could throw a dart at the menu and end up satisfied with whatever you choose. Your culinary experience will be enhanced by Rita, the only server. She is warm, friendly, and always ensures that your orders are just as you want them, all while greeting you with a smile. Be sure to check out the adjoining grocery store as well! Don't be put off by the owners not speaking perfect English; they're incredibly helpful and can guide you through all the new ingredients and how to prepare them. View menu

What a gem! This truly exceptional place offers authentic Mexican cuisine at very reasonable prices. The dining area is small, which I think is a plus. It's clean and vibrant, just like you would expect in Mexico. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. I was quite hungry and ordered four tacos: pollos, carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. Each one was packed with flavor. The two sauces on the table enhanced the overall taste of the tacos without overpowering them with excessive heat. The server was friendly and managed the dining area efficiently. This place is anything but a figment of the imagination; it delivers genuine authenticity. There's also a grocery store next to the dining a...

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Everything has quality ingredients and is cooked to perfection. It’s always a good sign when you see Mexicans eating at a Mexican restaurant. Service is always super professional/efficient and we never have to wait long to get our food. They have amazing soups and drinks that frequently change. We always head over after our meal to the grocery store/bakery. My husband is from the Philippines and there’s a lot of similarities in their food so we always end up either buying some sort of bread, candy or frozen treats. My only complaint is I’m not a huge fan of their chips and salsa. Maybe I’m just not used to that style but my husband and I enjoy the more typ...
