"As a loyal customer for years, I've always respected this venue and its staff, so to be treated this way was shocking. When I inquired about the reason for our removal, I was told that a server felt intimidated by us. To quote him: "I don’t know the situation, but you have to go." I hadn’t had a single drink or spoken to anyone except for my server, whom I had merely thanked for letting us take a moment to look at the menu.
I didn't know this person, yet I was disrespected and humiliated by the manager who instructed us to leave. We didn’t argue; we left quietly, albeit very confused about the unjustified eviction. The next day, I called to speak with the general manager, hoping to address this incident, but after being promised a call back, I never heard from anyone.
I would strongly advise young people of color, particularly men and women, to avoid this place, as you may face discrimination for no apparent reason. Instead, I recommend trying the new bar down the street called The Break, where our entire group received exceptional service for New Year's and felt welcomed without any bias."
