"The food here is incredible. They have the best tacos, burritos, pupusas on Long Island. They also have a hot bar with different items featured daily. Pulled pork, meat balls, fried chicken, roasted chicken and so much more. All deliciously fresh and reasonably priced. You can choose your size plate starting at 10$. So your wondering why 4 stars? The help? most of them are out to lunch. I tried calling 2 weeks ago to place an order? the phone would ring once and stop. So here it is 2 weeks later we called again, same thing. So I went there asked if something was wrong with the phones. She said I don?t think so. So I called with my cell phone standing there?again one ring then cuts off. The girl is like ? ohhhh I?ll tell the owner?. So I ordered and had to sit there 30 minutes to wait. It?s also very uncomfortable to sit and eat in there. Unless your 100 pounds or less your behind does not fit in the uncomfortable metal chairs. So do take out if they fix the phones, otherwise plan a nice long wait for really great food."

"We had made a reservation for 15 people at 7 PM to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived right on time and were seated immediately. We placed our orders for food and drinks at 7:05 PM, and while we received our drinks by 7:10 PM, we were still waiting for our food. By 7:30 PM, we asked our waiter for an update, and he informed us that our meals would take another 20 minutes. We noticed that two tables seated after us had already ordered and received their food within 10 minutes. Assuming the delay was due to the size of our party, we decided to wait a little longer. However, by 8:00 PM, we could see that the two tables behind us were almost finished eating while we still hadn't received our meals. At 8:30 PM, with the restaurant set to close soon, I asked the waiter to speak with his manager. The "manager" came upstairs, and when I told him we were leaving due to the wait, he apologized and said our food was on its way, citing a "glitch" in their system. As I looked over at the tables behind us, I realized they had ordered the same platters as we did, which made me suspect that our food had been mistakenly served to them. We received no apology for the delay, no offer of appetizers while we waited—nothing. The only reason we stayed was because we had reservations elsewhere and worried we wouldn't have enough time to be seated and served at another restaurant before our next commitment. When the time came to pay, we were not offered any compensation and were required to pay full price for a meal that was mediocre at best. The so-called manager claimed he couldn't authorize any discount or compensation because he was not the actual manager. To make matters worse, the rice was undercooked, the BBQ was extremely dry and overcooked, and everything tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you’re planning a large birthday party or gathering. You will experience terrible service, wait an unreasonable amount of time for mediocre food, and still be required to pay full price after waiting an hour and a half for your meal. I called the restaurant today to express my concerns, but I was told that there was no manager or owner available to speak with me. I plan to call again later to try to reach someone in charge."

"Well this hidden gem in the Excelsior district is probably less hidden now since there was an article in the sf gate about it in late Oct of 2022. Previously you could call ahead and have your food ready in 10 minutes. Now after the article they were having waits of up to 30 minutes for items to be ready. If you don 't know what this place serves, its a mix of Chinese/Filipino breakfast with the most popular dish being the HK porkchop. I say breakfast because who 's kidding, you can eat this stuff anytime of day. The dishes consist of meat protein, garlic rice, and egg and pineapple or tomato. If that doesn 't sound good wait until you hear the price of said Filipino grand slam meal. As of Nov 2022 it is $6.50 for the HK pork chop which comes with 2 deep fried pork chops with batter as I would describe as Chinatown fried chicken batter. This also comes with a scoop of rice and a fried egg although you can ask for over easy. Also ordered some longanisa sweet sausage), tocino BBQ pork) on a different plate. The food hits the spot and it 's at a price you can 't beat. It 's cash only so remember to bring some greenbacks. I would say the food is probably 4 stars but on the quality/price scale it bumps up to 5 with the cost that can get you 2 meals for the price of 1 in most other spots in the city. Parking is hit and miss depending on the time of day but I went at 10:30 am and there was plenty of parking on the street. In the afternoon though it can get pretty hard to find a spot. This is probably the best cheap eats in the city if you are looking for something a little more adventurous than a slice of pizza or a fast food burger. Come check them out and eat some breakfast food for lunch. For those looking for a early dinner the yelp hours are wrong as they close at 4pm the days they are open. So come for breakfast and lunch."

"This is the best tapsilog and halo-halo I’ve ever had! It’s always worth the drive to satisfy my cravings, and the portions are generous as well. They offer daily specials that look enticing, but I can’t resist ordering the tapsilog every time I visit. They also have other non-Filipino dishes available. Since the restaurant is located inside an office building, they’re only open Monday to Friday. Sometimes they close for catering events, so I usually check their schedule before making the trek to this fantastic restaurant. And please, can you add sisig to the menu?"
