"I took a bus from downtown SF to get here which took about 35 minutes (including the little bit of walking you'll do after your bus stop . The place is cash only but you truly don't need much (max $15 if you want a side drink, but you don't need it lol . I ordered the Hong Kong Style Fried Porkchop Plate that comes with garlic fried rice, fried egg and tomato slices...for $7! It's the perfect amount for two if you want a good filling lunch. I ate all of mine because I das pretty hungry, but you'll see in the pictures just how much for I was handling: 2 pork chops, 2 cups of fried rice and those add-ins. The tomato is an essential acid to cut through the delicious oiliness you're eating. I'll be back, with a coke or Dr. pepper in hand, as I think it would complete the meal:"

This place is my go to and it has been here for years! I recommend the H.K. style pork chop. I love this place!

Very affordable plates are all under $10 or at least the ones I always order. My favorite thing to order is the longsilog. Been coming to this place for more than 5 years.

I've loved her food since I was a child, and the prices are unbeatable! It's my go-to spot for Filipino cuisine. I hope it never closes! The options at Gateway HK just can't compare. View menu

Super hole in the wall with great food at incredible prices. $5 to $6 gets you a huge rice plate with plates of pork chips and egg. ...no frills,...no service, no imagination. There are restaurants on site, but much better take and eat at home.

The best bang-for-your-bucks-hole-in-the-wall restaurant in San Francisco arguably. For less than $10, you can get yourself a full meal and feels amazing. Ask for pineapple to go with the garlic fried rice. Plentiful of meal options and ala carte too. Take-out only for now but equally just as good! View menu

I would describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. The food is delicious, and the service is quick and straightforward. I ordered the Hong Kong-style pork chop with a side of salted egg, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will definitely return! I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking authentic Filipino cuisine.

The food here is excellent! If you’re on the hunt for delicious and affordable Filipino rice plates, this is definitely the spot to visit. The staff and owners have been a staple in the area for many years, and I admire that I've never seen a Filipino worker there. Hats off to the owners for creating such authentic-tasting dishes. I truly appreciate your commitment to serving the community with reasonable prices for so long. It’s clear that you genuinely care about the community and aren't just motivated by profit. I have no doubt that you’ll continue to provide great food at great prices!

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
