"Let me start this review by saying two things. I come from a place where we call them steak and cheese, instead of cheesesteak, so you know I didn’t grow up eating good ones. Yesterday afternoon, I thought I didn’t like cheesesteak, but I’ve been up and down this city for years, giving this cheesy-meaty goodness chance after chance to change my mind. I knew the second I took a bite of my Angelo’s cheesesteak yesterday that I would be writing this review here, because my opinions on cheesesteaks have changed in that one bite. I paid about $15 cash for a hefty, oh-lawd-he’s-coming sized steak with onions, mushrooms, and colby cheddar and that plus the 25 mins wait was well worth it! My life has been “flipped, turned upside down” as the fresh prince once said. The quality of the ingredients is fantastic, the sesame French style roll was perfectly textured with no sogginess, the cheese and toppings complemented everything. I felt like Remmy from Ratatouille when he eats the strawberry and cheese. It was a sensory experience I can never relive again. I will be chasing that high forever. The customer service was great. The women at the front were very friendly and helpful when I ordered. At pick up, I witnessed the sweetest girl’s-girl interaction as the cashiers complemented the lady in front of me’s outfit. And I carried that baby home. It stayed warm and did not get soggy in the 25 mins I traveled between locations. I never understood why folks voluntarily lined up around the block for a cheesesteak. But now I’m converted."
