"BEST RESTAURANT EVER. I’m vegan and my girlfriend is gluten free celiac, and this place was PERFECT for the two of us and is a hidden gem for celiacs. The website doesn’t explicitly say it, but the entire restaurant is gluten free but non gluten free folks, don’t worry! Genuinely you will NOT be able to tell. Bread on the Banh Mi was the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had and tasted just like real bread. I’ve been vegan for 6 years now and had crispy tempura shrimp that my girlfriend said tasted just like the real thing! (And it’s made from scratch in house! . We also shared the pork belly Banh Mi which was DELICIOUS meat and the bread was so fluffy and crispy on the outside. Then we had the soft duck bao bun which was great in texture just like the real thing and loaded with a peanut sauce. Lastly we had the eggless stir fry noodles with teriyaki sesame chicken which was sooo good and allowed my girlfriend to have a lo mein style dish for the first time in years! To top it off, our waitress was so sweet and funny and gave us free desserts to end the meal. The cheesecake tasted just like the real thing and was so creamy, and the Flan was so delicious and the first time I’ve had flan since going vegan, which this Mexican reviewer has missed so much! Crime Brûlée was also delicious. Needless to say, Thanh Tinh Chay was the most delicious restaurant I’ve been to, and you would never guess that it meets everyone’s dietary needs. Oh, and the spa water they give you is so fresh and addicting! We’ll be driving back to San Diego from LA just for this spot again.Vegetarian options: All vegan!
