"BEST RESTAURANT EVER. I’m vegan and my girlfriend is gluten free celiac, and this place was PERFECT for the two of us and is a hidden gem for celiacs. The website doesn’t explicitly say it, but the entire restaurant is gluten free but non gluten free folks, don’t worry! Genuinely you will NOT be able to tell. Bread on the Banh Mi was the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had and tasted just like real bread. I’ve been vegan for 6 years now and had crispy tempura shrimp that my girlfriend said tasted just like the real thing! (And it’s made from scratch in house! . We also shared the pork belly Banh Mi which was DELICIOUS meat and the bread was so fluffy and crispy on the outside. Then we had the soft duck bao bun which was great in texture just like the real thing and loaded with a peanut sauce. Lastly we had the eggless stir fry noodles with teriyaki sesame chicken which was sooo good and allowed my girlfriend to have a lo mein style dish for the first time in years! To top it off, our waitress was so sweet and funny and gave us free desserts to end the meal. The cheesecake tasted just like the real thing and was so creamy, and the Flan was so delicious and the first time I’ve had flan since going vegan, which this Mexican reviewer has missed so much! Crime Brûlée was also delicious. Needless to say, Thanh Tinh Chay was the most delicious restaurant I’ve been to, and you would never guess that it meets everyone’s dietary needs. Oh, and the spa water they give you is so fresh and addicting! We’ll be driving back to San Diego from LA just for this spot again.Vegetarian options: All vegan! House made meats including shrimp, pork belly, beef, and more.Dietary restrictions: 100% vegan and 100% gluten free facility!"

Wow, this place serves truly gourmet soup! I tried the Vietnamese Duck Noodle Soup (mi vit tiem), and every ingredient was cooked to perfection in the delicious broth. Everything is made in-house, and you can really taste the quality! View menu

We got the Peking Duck Steam buns and it was delicious. Other dishes were also good. One nit is that there was really smelly water dripping from the side of the building as we walked in to the restaurant.Apart from that the food and the service was excellent. Will come back again.

Delicious superbly crafted meals with enormously subtle taste combinations It is craft food for sure Small restaurant with very accommodating staff- The interior has (in my opinion)-an awful lime green color theme but it’s all about the food Which is AAA? All appetizers main courses are 18-24 I would kindly suggest it’s somewhat over priced but then again the food is superb.

The wonton soup is absolutely delicious, and I appreciate that the takeout container keeps the wontons separated so they don't get soggy on my way home. Both the broth and the wontons are incredibly flavorful—this soup will have me craving it for a long time! The woman at the counter mentioned that they make all their vegan meat substitutes in-house, which I find quite impressive. I can't wait to try most of the items on the menu! View menu

My boyfriend and I recently visited San Diego and stumbled upon this restaurant. I'm so happy we did! It's funny because just a week earlier, we had talked about how much I wanted to experience that "wow, I would drive over 20 hours for this" kind of vegan food. This restaurant is definitely one I'd travel that far for! The waitress and staff provided some of the kindest service I’ve ever encountered. I truly hope everyone, even those who aren't vegan, gets the chance to try this food—it was that amazing!

Extremely solid Thai food, and everything on the menu is now vegan, gluten free, and delicious. As a fair warning, the portion sizes are on the smaller side. This does not take away from the great flavor this food offers. The staff there are attentive, quick, and could very well be the nicest people on the planet. They keep the curtains shut when we were there for lunch in June, maybe to keep it cooler? I think it would be nice to open them to both let more light in and clearly show that the restaurant is open. My date and I, as well as another set of customers, thought the place was closed when walking up to the door.Regardless, I’m going back at the very least to get a taste of that apple-le...
