"Very very nice place. Local spot. It is a rose in a bush of thorns. The area around the restaurant has fallen on hard times. As you drive to the restaurant you see the falling businesses in the area. Then you come upon the Abuelita?s and it is well represented. Clean out side, parking lot well lite and maintained. No one hanging around outside. Once you go inside the restaurant, the staff is quick to greet you and tell how to ordering works. My wife and I had a fantastic meal. The food is hot hot and tasty. The staff are constantly on the floor mopping, sweeping and quick to pick up the dishes. I got the small plate and almost could not finish it. We look forward to going back. Just make sure you go before the sun goes down. More then worth the trip. Best Mexican food I had thus far in Richmond."
