"Outraged and never going back! I tried to have dinner here last night. I called ahead to make a reservation, but was told it wasn’t necessary since they had tables available. When we arrived, we were fortunate to find one table free; it was Friday evening in downtown Oak Park, which made sense. Shortly after us, a non-Black couple came in and also waited to be seated. The owner came over, and I requested a table for two. He agreed, which seemed logical given that a table was open! However, he then asked the non-Black couple if they had been there earlier. He went on to seat them at the available table and then told my husband and me that another group was finishing up and it would just be a moment! We are done with this place and will NEVER support this establishment again!"

"We used to enjoy coming here for Sunday brunch, but we were disappointed when they suddenly started offering champagne. The food is delicious, but we feel that the price is not justified without the champagne. We wish they had the option to add champagne for a few extra dollars instead of removing it completely. We will not be returning if they change their policy."

"The food was good, but I walked in and ordered carry-out and had a bad experience overall due to some communication issues.I asked if the lunch special 9, I thought) was still going on. He said yes. I gave my order, pointing at the special as I said it. I made sure to ask if he added a mango lassi too. He said yes. The total came to $22 when I figured it should have been about $15 with tax. Weird, but I was too shy to argue and the receipt didn't show anything for proof. I came back and picked up my order and the lassi wasn't made. He apologized but made me pay for it so my order came to $26 in the end. For one meal. What? I got a takeout box of just rice, a container with my entree, and one naan.If I order from here again, it will be online. Good food and nice guy, but maybe they need to redo the menu if the lunch special is actually $9 with the caveat that you must order 2 entrees. This would explain the price difference but unfortunately it is not clear."

"1. Why should you trust my review? Because I’m Indian and I know what authentic Indian food should taste like. 2. The food was average at best. 3. Pricing: This restaurant seems designed to take advantage of customers. I’ve never understood why Indian restaurants are so expensive compared to other cuisines, like Cuban food, but this place really takes the cake. I've never paid so much for a single meal in my life. In my opinion, the food might be slightly better than some other Indian restaurants (which are truly awful), but it certainly doesn't justify the high prices. They even had the audacity to charge gratuity for a party of three and then ask for an additional tip. Dining here would only support their questionable practices."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."

"Good selection and very transparent menu of meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes, most of which are plainly labeled veggie or meat. My girlfriend and I just visited this place for the first time a few days back and I felt compelled to write my first review for it. I got a vegetable curry that was outstanding. The server was an older gentleman and he was so excellent, I'm not sure if the service is always on point like this but he brought us free mango smoothies (which I didn't drink being vegan so my gf took mine she said it was delicious) and after dinner he brought us free ice cream (which I also didn't eat but it's the thought that counts). The experience was very good and we'll be going back again soon. On a side note they have a spice meter on the back that you can choose from, they can go above the chart and make your food outrageously spicy if you're into that sort of thing. I went for a 6 above their highest five and it was pretty [censored] hot and really [censored] good. Highly recommended! I give it five stars though this app will only let me select up to 4."

"This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a tasty meal! We were warmly greeted and received excellent service throughout our visit. Our waiter was exceptional and the busboy consistently cleared and cleaned our table between courses. The food was amazing - the appetizers were delicious, the Lamb Vindaloo had just the right amount of spice, the Chicken Moghul was very flavorful, and the Mango Kulfi was a perfect way to end the meal.
