"Last night, we dined at Pelican’s. We had heard a lot about it but had never visited before. Typically, we relied on places like Red Lobster and Landry's for our seafood fix, which frankly, are far from ideal. We arrived for a late dinner and the dining room was bustling. While I’m not particularly focused on ambiance, I must say they have a lovely dining area. The layout is pleasing, and the nautical decorations keep your eyes entertained as you dine. Pelican’s offers a regular menu as well as a features menu, which my wife and I both appreciate. It’s obvious that the kitchen is passionate about their food and committed to serving fresh, seasonal ingredients. We started with the Crab Cakes accompanied by a special 'roumelade' sauce. They were served promptly and were delicious, but the standout aspect of the dish was definitely the sauce. For our main courses, my wife opted for one of the featured pasta dishes: Linguini and Shrimp in a Spinach Alfredo Sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked—from the shrimp to the pasta. My wife is particular about her pasta being cooked just right, and Pelican’s nailed it. I went for the Shrimp Monterrey, and it was phenomenal! Large shrimp stuffed with crab, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, and baked to perfection. I highly recommend it! A subtle touch that really elevated the dish was the addition of freshly chopped jalapeño. All entrees come with the option of a salad (side or chef’s) or a cup of soup. My wife chose a cup of New England Clam Chowder, and she enjoyed it. You could definitely tell it wasn’t from a can. I opted for the side salad, which was quite basic but made with fresh ingredients and a generous portion. Our server Alan was excellent! He was friendly and checked in on us frequently. Two thumbs up for Alan! Overall, we had a great experience with fantastic seafood. It’s a wonderful place for dinner!"

"I had seen this on the top lit brunch spots list. So I was very excited to try this place out. I made sure I had a reservation but of course. Easier on me and the staff at this location. Valet was $20 and since I did my research...I was prepared. We didn't wait long for our table luckily. They sat us outside in a tent since there was no space in the inside. The place was definitely packed. They had portable ACs but I didn't feel much. It was a hot day as well. 1 AC was on.We were melting and buying a hookah was out of the question. Too hot. I bought the bottomless mimosas($30)...since each glass was $10. Better deal for me! I was disappointed my glass and the kraft were plastic. Takes away from the brunchexperience. Guess since the pandemic its sanitary and cost effective. My cousin ordered the red velvet chicken and waffles. I had the braised beef short ribs. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. It took a long time for our food to bebrought out. Definitely not our server's fault. There were lots of people, not that many servers plus the running back and forth between the outdoor/ indoor area. Our server was wonderful and the other staff we encountered ..were pleasantas well.My drinks kept me occupied. I read several reviews and this place was hit or miss. The quality of the food is not the best. Especially for the price. I was not impressed. The two hour minimum for your table is crazy if it takesalmost an hour for your food to come out. The music was bleh. DJ la bonita was definitely missed. No variety what so ever. Music is important at day parties( any party). I expected so much more. Glad I went to experience it for myself butI do not care to return. I've definitely been to some great brunch spots. This place has potential and the location is dope but it was a miss for us."
