When checking in I referred to my reservation and she said it wasn't there. she acted as though this was an inconvenience to seat us even though I had a confirmation number for the reservation placed a month ago. Once seated, the service was great. Our server was kind, sweet, and patient as we were waiting for our last part of the party. Overall it was a good experience, but being that the host is the first point of contact, she really had me nervous for the experience. She was incredibly rude, and didn't make a great effort to make us feel welcomed"

"We went to this restaurant for a special occasion, our anniversary. The exceptional service started even before we arrived, with a phone call asking if we would like a fresh rose placed on our table. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and our servers were very friendly and attentive. We were served delicious house bread with truffle sea salt butter. Our appetizers were amazing, my wife had the loaded baked potato and I had the Berkshire pork belly with black cherry gastrique and grits. The entrees were just as fantastic, my wife had grilled shrimp and seared scallops, while I had beef wellington with seared scallop accompaniment. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we were given a deconstructed raspberry cheesecake for our anniversary, which was amazing. I also ordered a chocolate pot de creme, which was equally delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely, and although it was quite pricey, the quality of the food made it worth every penny. This was truly a 5-star dining experience."

"I made a reservation weeks ago to celebrate my birthday and the experience was phenomenal! The servers were all amazing, friendly, kind and on top of everything. They were impressive from the seating to refilling water and taking care of our food. We were seated in the bar area which I absolutely loved! The music was from the 80s (Lionel Richie, Elton John, Billy Joel) and the football game was on the screens, so we were both happy. It was also enjoyable to watch the bartenders making all the fancy drinks. The dress was very casual, and I also liked that. You would be comfortable in anything from formal wear to a track suit. Now the food—amazing!! The lobster risotto is a MUST! The beef Wellington was cooked perfectly and the potato purée and veg were perfect. The sticky toffee pudding is SO delicious! I will definitely visit again and plan to try a Wagyu steak, Mac and cheese and the lobster bisque for sure. It’s pricey, but it is SO worth the experience!!"

"Location is a bit hard to locate. Once there it is very nice. Decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. Reservations were handled A+. 1. service was spotty. Hard pressed to meet average. We had to ask for bread, salt and pepper. The only thing good was the server who kept our water glasses filled. Food was delivered to our table by a food runner. Had to be auctioned off once it arrived, as he didn't have a clue who got what. NOT GOOD FOR A RESTAURANT CHARGING THESE KIND OF PRICES. 2. Food was just ok. Not terrible but not outstanding. Average to say the least. Pork rib-eye was a cut of pork loin grilled without the bone-in, with mashed potatoes. We had a special menu for graduation at a local university. (not the regular menu) 3. Prices were inflated for this special menu. Prices reflected something in Chicago or New York and not out in the country in Southern Illinois. Two lobster tails $75.00.....The owners have spent a ton of money building this place and it shows, as it is very very nice. The food, the service is just average at best. It would push it to meet the average stage. The prices are quite high for the service and food that you get for your dollar (s)......"

"My wife and I were here a few weeks ago as guests of my mother. My mother ordered a pasta dish, I had a Philly steak sandwich, and my wife had the deconstructed California roll salad. We were left disappointed. Firstly, the dining room décor was dull. Everything in there is brown. Secondly, the food took entirely too long to arrive. When we asked our what the hold-up was, he explained that they were training some new cooks and that they weren't up to speed yet. Which would have made sense had the dining room not been roughly three quarters empty. Thirdly, and most disappointingly, my wife ordered her salad without the bell peppers. She simply doesn't like them. The salad had the peppers. Fortunately she doesn't have a food allergy, so she decided to eat around them. Then she saw the fly. A dead fly under the avocados. She sent it back immediately, and, stomach sufficiently turned, decided not to eat anything else that evening. Here's the punchline. Our server attempted to upsell us some desserts after he took the offending salad away. Craft, you failed. I don't care how green your cooks are, allowing flies on your food is unacceptable. You're supposed to have a pest control plan in place, are you following it? Because flies in the kitchen would suggest otherwise. Brookings lost a perfectly good Godfather's Pizza so you could be in that location. Do better. Or don't, we won't be back either way."

"Alexa’s catered our wedding on August 30th, 2024 at Maroni Meadows in Snohomish and we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to book with them. Starting with the food, all of it was absolutely wonderful and we received tons of compliments from our guests throughout the night about how delicious dinner was. They have an extensive catering menu with lots of dishes to choose from, so I encourage future couples to take advantage of their monthly open houses where you can go to their cafe and try a selection of some of their most popular dishes. Even though we already had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to serve, it was helpful to narrow down our choices. Alexa’s service was also spectacular. We opted for a buffet meal where guests served themselves, but their staff cleared out people’s dishes as they finished eating, kept the water carafes on the tables filled, and in general were just kind and friendly folks. After dinner, they handled the clean up with ease. Alexa’s was also wonderful at handling all the details leading up to the big day, including ordering our rental items through CORT (linens, dishware, glassware, silverware, etc. . They answered all our questions and made the changes we requested quickly and efficiently. At the meeting we had with them one month out from the event, they asked us everything they needed to make sure we were on the same page so that the event would go smoothly. In short, they were diligent and professional every step of the way and were committed to making our wedding a success! I would absolutely recommend Alexa’s catering to any future couples, especially if anyone reading this is booking a wedding at Maroni Meadows. (Maroni doesn’t have an on-site kitchen of any kind, so it can be challenging to find a caterer who can make that work. Alexa’s has catered with Maroni many times so it was a complete relief to our wedding planning stress knowing that they were familiar with the venue’s limitations . Thank you again to the team at Alexa’s for your part in making our day so special!"

"I reserved a table for two in advance for 9/10 just before 1 PM as I wanted to bring my husband here for his birthday on 9/11. We -and especially him- are HUGE Ravens fans so I wanted to make sure we got there in time for the first game of the season at 1 p.m. It turned out that they did not have the game on. My husband and I watched it on our phone as if we drove home, we'd miss the game (we live in Lansing, 1:20 min away! . I am also a DK employee and was very excited to visit this location for the first time. We ended up having a good time and were offered a free shot for the inconvenience, but, I don't expect us to come back any time soon for a game unless guaranteed that it will shown on the big screen! "What a disappointment, we’ve been coming here since we were in high school with our family, friends and colleagues. We kept on supporting this establishment, all through the pandemic, enjoying the nice waiters and management who recognized us and our names, and welcomed us with open arms every time we came by for dinner or lunch, which was often. We’ve noticed especially throughout the past year that now some of the waiters, turned Bartenders, put on a very different face once they switch over to working at the bar. The Later the night, the drunker and louder they get. The atmosphere has turned from a cozy New England pub Into a dive bar atmosphere, where the bartenders rule, and the guests/clients don’t count, unless they tip big. Not too long ago we saw 2 of them both acting as doormen at a late night dive bar stile joint down the road. We heard it’s because the bartender works there alone and gives them shots for free for the extra protection service. We just don’t understand what happened to our good old Goose. Sad!"

"Every time I go to a new restaurant I order a simple burger to get a feel for what their cooking standards are like. If you can't make a good burger I'm completely uninterested in anything else on the menu. This place blew me away.They absolutely NAILED a simple LTO cheeseburger. Honestly it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Sometimes I feel like I'm too critical of restaurants until I see one that does things right. 10/10 burger. Absolutely perfect.If I could offer one counterpoint though, their food was a bit pricey. $9 for a glass of Merlot. Together my wife and I had a 1/2 price appetizer each, one alcoholic drink each, and a burger each. $75 before tip. The food was amazing though. The pork belly steak with the balsamic glaze was the kind of thing we are still talking about. So, quality food at premium prices? All I know is that if I want a burger done right I know where to go."

"If you haven't been to Mike's lately, it's time to give it another try. While we weren't huge fans in the past, we've had several very nice outings in the past few months. The food has been reliably good (love the brussels and chicken wings! , and the prices are quite reasonable compared to other Palo Alto restaurants. It's awesome to have a local spot where a lot of neighbors have just a short walk or drive, to a lovely restaurant, where the food has been reliably delicious (of late , the staff are great (including Nathan! . "We had a party of 13 (9 adults, 4 kids ages 10, 5 and 3 and 1 infant 7mos(did not eat). We had our tables combined to the back of the restaurant which was not very well lit. Chairs were very comfy and we didn’t feel cramped. We had 1 waitress who helped our table and she hardly ever checked on us for refills or to see if our food came out okay. She may have been taking care of multiple tables, but I would suggest having at least 2 waitresses for a party of 8 or more, if staffing would allow. The food tasted okay. I ordered my burger to be cooked well and it still was pink when I got it but that’s fine, I didn’t complain. The kids loved their pizzas and overall was a pretty nice atmosphere. Thank you"
