"The bread, which tasted homemade, and the salads with the house dressing were delightful. The oysters were fresh and briny—exactly what we hoped for. The baked clams, while nice, could have used a pinch of salt or some grated cheese, and an extra minute under the broiler for better browning. They served whole clams rather than chopped ones, which was a plus, but they needed a touch more seasoning.
I ordered the fish special, which consisted of flounder and shrimp francese served with lobster ravioli and spinach. The ravioli, unfortunately, had a distinct crab flavor rather than lobster, but the flounder, shrimp, and spinach were well-prepared.
Another dish we ordered was the seafood fra diavolo. This was a mix-up on our part, as we mistakenly ordered it thinking it was shrimp fra diavolo, which isn’t on the menu. While the waitress could have clarified our order, the good news is they made a special off-menu shrimp diavolo for us. Regrettably, it was nearly inedible; the sauce tasted raw and undercooked, and the pasta was unsalted and overcooked. The shrimp were fine, but we struggled to finish even half of the dish.
Overall, I believe that if you pay attention to the menu, you can have an enjoyable meal here. They’ve been in business for 30 years for a reason, and the service was friendly too."
