"We decided to start with beef patties as an appetizer while we waited for our entrees. The pastry of the patties was perfectly flaky, filled with a flavorful beef mixture that had just the right amount of spice. They were a delightful prelude to the oxtail curry goat we had ordered.
At the time, we were the only diners in the restaurant, which made for quick service and a short wait for our meals—unlike the sometimes long waits you might find at other Caribbean restaurants. Our dishes arrived beautifully presented. The oxtail was incredibly tender, with a rich, flavorful gravy that added just the right touch of moisture. The meat fell easily off the bone, and the gravy was lighter than what you might typically encounter at other places.
The curry goat was equally well-prepared; the meat was tender and easily pulled away from the bone. Although the curry wasn’t the bright yellow color I've seen elsewhere, its flavor complemented the meat beautifully. Both entrees were fantastic, but if I had to choose, I would lean towards the oxtail for its superior flavor and meat quality.
We also tried a side of plantains (not pictured) which added a lovely sweetness to complement the savory dishes. Overall, I would rate Island Sensation Cuisine a solid 4.4 out of 5."
