"I had been to this place many times before and I kind of enjoyed the food. I was in the area yesterday so I decided to stop by for Guatemalan food. We ordered Pork tamales, Pupusas, Chuchitos, yuca frita con chicharrón, atol de elote, horchata and Mexican quesadillas with steak. The tamales were not fresh at all, they tasted like they had been refrigerated for a while. The Pupusas also tasted reheated. The chuchitos, the only thing that gave them flavor was the sauce to top them. They only served us about 4 pieces of the yuca. Atol de elote didn't tasted watered down The service wasn't bad. The girls were attentive but seems as they don't have authority when it comes to the food. It's a chill ambiance, it was early in the day so not busy at all. I don't think I'll be making the trip there again. Worst $100 spent jn food"

"What a complete disappointment. We enjoy trying local establishments and supporting small businesses. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. We arrived at 6 o'clock and there was only one other couple at a table. We ordered nachos with steak as an appetizer and placed our meal order at the same time. About 45 minutes later, the server brought out the nachos and warned that the plate was hot. Unfortunately, the nachos were not. Shortly after, our meals arrived. The presentation was decent, but that was the only positive aspect of this experience. My meal (the Enchiladas Bandera) was cold and the steak in the Bistec con Enchiladas had little flavor and was mostly fat and gristle. The enchilada sauce was also lacking in taste. I sent my meal back but declined a replacement due to the long wait time. We overheard the server apologizing for the delay to another table that arrived after us. I feel sorry for the other customers dining at this restaurant tonight. When the bill came, the meal I returned was still on it. It seemed like there were inexperienced staff working in the front of the house. After some discussion on how to rectify the situation, we were presented with a revised bill."

"Wow! I went to pick up a takeout order and everything was messed up! The chips were rubbery, and there was no salsa included. I specifically asked for rice and beans on the side, but they completely forgot those. Instead, they put refried beans on the Torta, which I didn't request. I also asked for cheese on the tacos, but that was missing as well. I'm more than happy to pay for quality food and service, but with so many errors, it’s really frustrating. We had to return and address the issues all over again. When we called to let the woman at the counter know about the problems with our order, she seemed completely unaware. A reputable establishment would recognize their mistakes and make an effort to correct them."

"I ordered through DoorDash, and not only did they give my order to someone else, making me wait an extra hour, but they also sent me the wrong food and items were missing. The food was disappointing; the fajitas consisted of tiny balls of meat, and the carne asada was just thin strips—not real carne at all. I definitely won't be ordering from them again. On a positive note, my delivery driver was fantastic! However, the food isn't authentic, and their service is terrible on top of that. Even if my order hadn't been messed up, the food still wouldn't be worth it. The meat in their fajitas is the same as what you get in carne tacos—practically no meat and overloaded with onions. What a letdown!"

"This is a true hole-in-the-wall inside a little Mexican food shop. We stopped here for lunch after hiking locally just based on other good reviews, and they weren't wrong! We got Sopa de Camarones (shrimp soup) and guisado verde de pollo (salsa verde chicken stew) which were both delicious!!! Wish this place was close to where we live so we could keep going back. Service: Dine in"

"I normally don 't write reviews unless my experience was extremely positive or extremely negative. Unfortunately La Lupita was a big disappointment as I was recommended by a co-worker. When I came in, I was met with nasty glares instead of a warm welcome by the two young servers almost as if I didn 't belong there. An older white couple came in after me and were greeted warmly and had there orders taken right away while I had to wait over 5 mins just for lemon for my water. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and wings to start. The soup was more like chicken soup that they added tortillas on top of. If they ran out of the tortilla soup, it would have been better to just let me know instead of bringing that out. I 'm a big Mexican foodie so I definitely know the difference. The wings were Luke warm when they came out as if they 'd been sitting there for a while. I then ordered a quesadilla but asked for peppers, jalapeños, and onions in the quesadilla my server made it a point to nastily point out that it 's going to be extra as if I couldn 't afford it. I was charged extra and only had peppers in my quesadilla. I asked for a box to take my food and the waitress drops off the check and proceeds to go eat with her coworkers instead of processing my payment. I had to have another waitress do it. I definitely felt the negative vibes towards me being that I 'm a young black female meanwhile the white customers were treated with a lot more respect and positivity. I still paid and tipped because of my etiquette but this is the first and last time la lupita will get my business nor any of my close contacts business. I hope that going forward your staff learns to treat every customer equally instead of passing prior judgement."

"Delicious tacos al pastor! Unlike some places that shred the meat, here they grill it, which adds a lot of flavor! The onions and cilantro are finely chopped and blend beautifully with the meat. We also loved the beef fajita platter, which had a generous portion of meat and excellent flavor. The pupusas were well-sized, freshly made, and had just the right amount of char. The pickled cabbage was delightful, and the horchata was very refreshing. We will definitely return soon to try the desserts!"

"I fall in love with this restaurant more more each time I'm here. I want to say the restaurant has new owners. That is just my thought, I could be wrong. The menu slightly changed the taste in food is beyond good. It is YUMMILICIOUS!! Today my husband I stopped here around 330PM, was not crowded but soon got busy after we ordered. We ordered Nachos Rancheros Chicken Chimichanga. Nachos Rancheros it was a very generous plate of nachos. I don't think I could have finished it by myself. Thank goodness my husband was there to save the day. We both devoured the nachos. The steak was nicely seasoned the onions were not raw. Major plus for me! It was topped w/lettuce, tomatoes, slices of avocado sour cream. I could eat this everyday. Chicken Chimichanga it was filled w/shredded chicken in some kind of delicious red sauce, wrapped, deep fried then topped w/this magical jalapeño cheese sauce served w/a side of rice salad. OMG! I'm telling you, the cheese sauce MADE the plate. Don't let it fool you. They probably put some kind of drug in it, I don't know. I know it's good when I close my eyes, smile do my yummy dance. W.O.W! Try it, you won't be disappointed. My husband I were full after finishing the nachos but we had to try the chimichanga. We cut about 1/3 of it tried. Wished we would have tried it right when it got to the table still piping hot. Our eyes were more hungry than our appetite. We brought the rest of the chimichanga home. We have ordered to go many many times but this is probably our 3rd or 4th time eating in. Our waiter today was so nice, fast clean. After we finished our plate of nachos he came right away to clear the table preparing for our next entree. Aside from today..we always order on TACO TUESDAYS! $1 tacos, can't beat that! Before, the $1 tacos on Tuesdays were a little smaller than regular sized tacos. But now, they are just as big. Love the carne asada! Nicely seasoned with little bits of charred pineapple. YUM!!"
