"I love their location. But OMG the pizza slices. They're the most flavorful non-Neopolitan, non-NY pizza slices. They actually might be the best American pizza shop because I have never had pizza with so much flavor in a bite (the onion is the best onion I've ever had and then the mushroom has the most umami and cooked to perfection before. It's really something special. I'm still thinking about this pizza and I recommend the Italian White special slightly more than the Shroom. Ive had pizza up and down the coast in California, Little Italy SD, beach and train towns, LA, NYC, as well as the Strip here with Pizzacake being appealing enough. I've frequented some really good NY, Chicago style shops that take themselves very seriously- like they'll fly in NYC water even and some have really interesting flavors. I thought Settebello nearby was really good (Neopolitan pizza. But their pizza is hand tossed takeout pizza and it could make you cry if you know pizzas like me. You can die before you eat a pizza that is this perfect (non-Marg . I came back just to say: thanks, I've checked off eating the most perfect slice of pie before I die. That's you guys Each veggie is even the best I've tasted so when you bite- not only are you blown away by each vegetable/component but then the bite! And that crust is also a highlight- it's not easily achievable. It's like (kettle? fried edges which is unique, salty which is artisanal, chewy and soft. This is the least boring and most masterful pizza in the entire US and maybe it figures cause this must be a prime sourcing location for Italian products cause I've lived in hot spots and not even SD, Santa Monica, Carlsbad, LA etc has mushroom, tomatoes, or onions taste that good. The tomato paste, cheese are done right. It is a marker of authentic pizzas and chains to average shops never do this right."
