"We’re puzzled as to why no one in Jim Thorpe has recommended Macaluso's during our five years of vacationing there. This restaurant truly made our trip memorable. It offers a fine dining experience at surprisingly low prices. The staff was incredible, providing exceptional service from beginning to end. We’ve never felt so welcomed in a restaurant, and they even took the time to engage with my teenager, who often gets overlooked when we dine out. Everyone treated us like family, and the food was outstanding. Don’t miss the mushroom soup! I've attended the annual Mushroom Festival and have never tasted a better bowl than the one at Macaluso's. Also, try the salad with their house-made dressing; my teen devoured two bowls—she’s never finished an entire salad before! The steak was tender, the asparagus delicious, the corn on the cob was the sweetest I’ve ever had, and my chicken was cooked to perfection. We’re excited to return to the best restaurant in the Jim Thorpe area, Macaluso's. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Kid-friendliness: The staff treated my child as if they were one of their own."

"I feel absolutely terrible for the staff that work there and actually care about their job. There management is absolutely terrible. The managers treat their employees like complete ****! The manager Eve is the most disrespectful, older woman I have ever came across in my life. She should truly be ashamed of herself. The attitude, profanity, and the unwillingness to provide stellar customer service is absurd. If they got their management under control, they would have the potential to be great! One of the most important things in a business is making sure you treat your employees with the same respect as you would want to be respected and also giving them a place where they can work and feel safe, trusted, and depended on. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO TEAMWORK at this location. They talk horrible about each other behind their backs IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. I feel the most upset for the owner of the Mcdonalds, if he cared about his business he would get an inside scoop of what is going on behind those walls and put a stop to that behavior. The people in there (not all) are just miserable, unkind, and the upmost disrespectful people I have ever came across in my life. I have even seen employees being so hurt and upset that they literately cry because their feelings are hurt. They need to start taking people into consideration and DO BETTER!! I am definitely praying for this location."

"I love their food. Always fresh and so delicious. I always get the orange chicken with shrimp rolls and pizza rolls for my household. Plus I’ve tried their vegetable fried rice, plain fried rice and shrimp fried rice. All fresh and delicious. "I visited this restaurant on Saturday night for dinner. Don't be misled by the front bar, as there are tables in the back and a separate dining area too. The atmosphere was lively! Our waitress was really working hard to keep up with the demand. For appetizers, I ordered six pierogies and a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. Both my wife and I opted for the ham dinner, which came with three sides for just $11.45 each. The food was delicious, including the appetizers, and it was all a great value. Each dinner featured two substantial slices of flavorful ham. After such a satisfying meal, we were too full for dessert. The only letdown was that they had run out of haluski. I highly recommend stopping by this place when you're in Nesquehoning, just about three miles west of Jim Thorpe—you won't regret it!"
