"The clams casino were fantastic, while the crab cakes were just okay—not quite up to Maryland standards. The blackened swordfish was fresh but surprisingly lacked seasoning, considering it’s supposed to be a blackened dish, and it was sliced a bit too thin. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable.
Our only disappointing moment came when we requested a booth because we had an elderly guest with a cane. The hostess refused our request, despite several empty booths available, and her tone was dismissive. This is simply unacceptable. Given the number of older patrons dining there, I believe she could benefit from training on how to cater to their needs, and she should definitely work on her attitude.
On the whole, though, the rest of the service was excellent. If you're in the mood for a classic fish dinner with vegetables and a starch in a tavern-like setting, Gus's hits the mark. It’s unfortunate that the hostess’s demeanor left a negative impression."
