"The clams casino were fantastic, while the crab cakes were just okay—not quite up to Maryland standards. The blackened swordfish was fresh but surprisingly lacked seasoning, considering it’s supposed to be a blackened dish, and it was sliced a bit too thin. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable. Our only disappointing moment came when we requested a booth because we had an elderly guest with a cane. The hostess refused our request, despite several empty booths available, and her tone was dismissive. This is simply unacceptable. Given the number of older patrons dining there, I believe she could benefit from training on how to cater to their needs, and she should definitely work on her attitude. On the whole, though, the rest of the service was excellent. If you're in the mood for a classic fish dinner with vegetables and a starch in a tavern-like setting, Gus's hits the mark. It’s unfortunate that the hostess’s demeanor left a negative impression."

Service is atrocious , the food was cold and greasy. This place used to be good ! Been coming here since I was a kid, now I'm 55 and I will never go back again. Save your money and time

A good local staple. One of the best casual places to get Lobster in Lower Westchester. My family has been coming here for special occasions for three generations, and it still holds up.Just be mindful that this is mainly a fresh-caught seafood place. The food other than the fresh-caught selections is mediocre, and for the same price you could get much better elsewhere.

just got back from there. My kids wanted to take me there for Mother's Day. First time last time. service was awful, food was not good. The waitress asked if we'd like bread and literally brought us over 2 hard rolls and a few pats of butter. my daughter ordered Fish chips which had no taste. we ordered calamari which for $25.95 consisted of maybe 20 pieces if that. The other foods weren't any better. food overpriced for what u get and service was awful.Laura Rainaldi View menu

Love this place. Growing up in Massachusetts-we had places like this all over but had never found something similar around Westchester. That is until I was pleasantly surprised to be introduced to this place by my in-laws. Great seafood (including lots of types of fish i got back in New England but do not see as often around here, like Boston scrod), delicious desserts (highly recommend the pecan pie) and reasonable prices with a laid back vibe, make this a great local staple. The service is also top notch. Don't miss this spot!

The menu was packed with tempting options, making it difficult for us to choose! We were treated to complimentary bread, which was replenished upon request, along with some delicious fresh coleslaw that could stand on its own! To start, we tried the clam chowder, available in both New England and Manhattan styles. Both were flavorful and thick, leaving us satisfied. For our main dishes, we opted for salads topped with grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. Once again, they were well-prepared, seasoned to perfection, and generously portioned. Although we were quite full, we couldn’t resist dessert. The rice pudding and a slice of Key Lime Pie were just what we needed to finish off our meal!...

"We have been regular customers at this restaurant for a few years, to the point where he staff know us and even what drinks we like. We went there on a Friday night expecting a nice experience as usual. I was dismayed to see a table of about 10 people sitting up front. This was a bad omen, as the kitchen and the staff can never keep up with the other tables when there is a large group in a relatively small restaurant. Happens every time. We were seated and got some drinks. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and described the hanger steak as a skirt steak, which it is not. I asked about the Provencal onion tart, and whether is was similar to a quiche, she replied, yes. It arrived and was a pile of sautéed onions, resembling worms, sitting in a dessert tart shell (very sweet, not savory). Nothing like what we discussed. I could not eat it. She saw this and didn't offer me anything in it's place. We ordered drinks to have with our appetizers but they didn't arrive until after the plates were cleared so I was stuck with a martini to have with my entrée. The duck confit was smothered to death in a thick heavy wine sauce with way too many mushrooms. Dessert was basically a slice of banana bread drowned in chocolate sauce. Our server was covering too many tables and not attentive to us at all. She seemed about 16 years old. The owner made her rounds to say to everyone but ignored us, regular customers. The anniversary price fixe menu had a supplemental price on over 50% of the items, including the terrible onion tart which contained no ingredients that would warrant a supplement. Just raise the price $5 instead of charging extra for almost everything. We will not return, as they made no attempt to make things right for us. What a waste of time and money. This place is getting old and worn out and too lax about lousy service. Service is everything."
