"The menu was typical, with all the usual items and lunch/dinner specials. One dish that stood out to me was the Mongolian Beef, which isn’t commonly found on many menus, so I decided to order it along with a side of beef fried rice since it had been a while since I'd had both.
Service was smooth, and the woman who took my order laughed when I requested extra spicy, telling me not to be afraid to hurt her. However, it still lacked the spice you might expect from Asian restaurants. The beef fried rice was rather average, featuring very thin flakes of beef that weren’t substantial enough, along with perfectly cooked rice but minimal onion and sprouts. It was lacking the egg, peas, and carrots that some places include.
As for the Mongolian beef, it was also average—sweet with a slight char flavor from the seasoned wok. I wished that the fried rice had picked up some of that char, as it would have enhanced the dish. The beef in the Mongolian beef was a decent quantity of the same thin slices, just not as finely chopped as in the fried rice. The vegetables were cooked to a middling texture—neither mushy nor crisp—but smothered in an oddly oily sauce.
I opted out of the white rice to avoid wasting it since it doesn’t appeal to me. Overall, this place didn’t surpass my favorite Asian restaurant. The food was average—not particularly exciting, but not terrible either—and there were no service issues to report."
