"I was really disappointed with my experience trying to support local restaurants during the pandemic. I called around 7:45 to order a pizza, well before their advertised closing time of 8:00. After several attempts, someone finally picked up and told me that they had already discarded everything, including the pizza dough, and that they hadn't answered my call because they weren't busy. We even drove to the restaurant, which had its lights on and an "open" sign displayed, just 10 minutes before closing, but it was already locked up. Having worked in the food industry myself, I understand that last-minute customers can be a hassle. However, I believe that good customer service means being open and welcoming to customers as long as you say you're open. If you plan to close at 7:30 on a Saturday night, you should communicate that clearly to the public, especially for a pizza place. Instead, I decided to head to Tony's."
