BOOKING: I worked with Raj to reserve a room, and he was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making sure I got exactly what I wanted. He even followed up the day before to confirm everything was set and asked if I had any questions. On the night, he surprised me with an upgrade to the VIP Lounge—best birthday gift ever!
One of the main reasons I chose this spot, besides the glowing reviews, was that it’s the only place I found that doesn’t require a drink package with the room booking. This setup was perfect because everyone could order as many or as few drinks as they liked, and we paid separately, so I didn’t have to deal with sorting out Venmo payments sober—especially great since I was a bit hungover the next morning.
THE EXPERIENCE: RPM Underground is hands down one of the cleanest and best-maintained karaoke venues I’ve been to in the city. No sticky tables, bathrooms actually working (a rare treat compared to other karaoke spots), and the rooms were spacious and stylishly decorated. If that was just a VIP Lounge perk, I’m definitely a fan—the lighting made us feel like we had our own nightclub, 10/10 experience.
Huge shoutout to our amazing bartender, Sisloob (pronounced “She-loo”), who kept the energy high all night. It was my birthday, so I didn’t order drinks myself, but my friends did, and Sisloob’s vibe was perfect—he can really sing and helped turn the party up like our personal host DJ. Sisloob, I hope you got tipped well! Thank you for spending the night with us.
RPM Underground is a bit further uptown than typical NYC karaoke spots, but trust me, it’s completely worth the trip. Thank you!"
