"My first impression when sitting down was that everything seemed rather expensive, especially compared 1:1 to another place like Pho Yes just down the road that offers basically all the same food, but I hoped the cost would be counter-balanced by quality and/or quantity. Unfortunately, neither was the case. The first two things we tried to order off the menu were out of stock. Great start. We ordered other food, and while it came out at a reasonable speed, my wife and I both agreed that everything tasted exceptionally bland and tasteless. And on all orders, they really skimped out on meat, clearly cutting costs by plating as little meat as possible to reasonably get away with. Again, compared to another very similar place like Pho Yes (which we had just visited the other week so it was fresh in our minds), the lack of taste and especially lack of meat was very apparent. The spring rolls were an obvious example, where we're used to meat being wrapped around the interior of the roll with thick cuts, but here it was two small pieces of meat on a single side per roll, so little that we couldn't even taste the meat, the spring rolls tasting just like the vegetable filling (so basically just the bland taste of water/air). The entrées didn't fair much better, with little meat, little sauce, and little flavor. Neither of us could finish our meals just because they tasted so empty and hollow. We took them home and tried to revive the meals later by adding more homecooked meat so the ratios were somewhat correct, and adding much-needed seasoning and sauce. But the base we were working with was still rather mediocre, and at that rate we might as well just stayed home. Very disappointing experience. Waste of time, a drive, and especially money (I spent like $75 on this crap), when we have gotten the exact same meal elsewhere at a much higher quality for half the cost."

"I absolutely love Thai food, but I often find myself disappointed by the various places we visit. Many aren't very authentic or just don't meet my expectations. However, while traveling, we decided to stop in for dinner here, and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was fantastic! The restaurant was spotless, and the server, who might have been the owner, managed to handle the serving, the register, and the cleaning all with such poise. The food was fresh, bursting with flavor, and perfectly balanced. It was the best Thai food I've had, leaving us amazed by how delicious it was, with nothing more to wish for! If only we lived closer, I would definitely become a regular!"

"My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner here tonight! The service was pleasant and attentive, our drinks were perfect and very reasonably priced! My husband had a vodka martini and I had a Negroni. We both ordered sole francese with a side of ziti. The fish was light and fresh with a delightful lemon butter sauce. The side of pasta was very generous! Both the meat sauce as well as the garlic and oil sauces were both excellent! I couldn't stop eating mine! We sat a lovely table overlooking the mongaup River. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in this area. We have been to many restaurants in the area over the last 6 months since we have relocated here, but I can definitely say this was one of the best. I would highly recommend Brother Bruno's Restaurant for your next meal, especially before it gets too cold so you can enjoy their lovely outdoor dining patio! In addition, I must add that this establishment is very clean and everyone was wearing masks and adhering to safety precautions with regards to Covid."

"The red bean sesame balls at this restaurant are absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying them. They're made with sweet red bean paste, wrapped in dough, coated in sesame seeds, and fried to perfection. Not only are they tasty, but they’re also quite filling. They make a great dessert or side dish. Their unique sweetness and distinct flavor really set them apart. I searched high and low for these treats around here, and they're tough to come by. At just $4 for six, you really should give them a try. Note that the service is takeout only."

"If you read nothing else, just know this place is amazing. Vietnamese food is so hard to get right because the only way to get some of the authentic ingredients is to make them yourself and that's hard, time consuming, and takes a lot of skill. This place makes everything in house and it shows!The first thing I order at any Vietnamese restaurant is a Banh Mi because I want to see what kind of bread they are using. It's my litmus test. Are they using a store bought generic roll, is it a local french baguette, or did they go the extra mile in making a fresh rice flour Vietnamese baguette? If you've ever had a Vietnamese baguette, you know how perfectly light and crispy it is compared to its french relative. Without hyperbole, this place makes the best Vietnamese baguettes and best Banh Mis I've ever had outside of Vietnam. I even tried to buy a few extra baguettes to take home with me.Once the Banh mi hit it out of the park, I knew I was in for a treat as we explored the rest of the menu. Their Pho broth is exceptional. You don't even need to add hoisin sauce. It packs a serious flavor punch. Do yourself a favor and next time you're craving Asian food stop here. If you're driving by RDU, make a pitstop. If it's a rainy day and you want some soup, this is the place.And no matter what, get an extra Banh mi for later."

I ordered via phone a to-go order for the first time tonight and asked if they could add extra broccoli. I paid $20 for the meal which normally is about 14 plus tax. Looked at the receipt and was charged 4 dollars for “extra” which amounted to maybe two extra florets. Felt like this was a major upcharge for nothing. Regardless, I will happily return and not make the mistake of asking for extra vegetables next time."

"That was my first experience here. Take it home on a wild hair. I must say I'm always frightening to order duck soups as takeout. Either you end mushy or you get half as much as you would eat. I must say this place has blown me out of the water!!! Had the special #37 Bun Bo Hue and #5 Bo Cuon. First they separated the noodles and other vegetables from the breadh properly. Bravo! Beef rolls were also not only full of green vegetables, but tons of grilled beef. Another check! Total costs were around $15. I had half for dinner today and the other half for lunch. Absolutely not to beat 2 full meals for that with a stick! The only POSSIBLE thing I could give was the communication order a little tricky and extra sharp was not so much. Firstly, adds to authenticity, secondly, I am sure that they have lit me, but do not want to complain because too many people would complain (boo! . Neither has kept me heartily to give this institution 5 stars! Give him a shot, you won't regret it. I'd have added photos, but it's all gone. I'm fat and happy to write this review."

"Worst spring roll ever. Do not order those. I got the pork one thinking it would have yummy vietnamese flavor bits of meat. Nope! It had zero flavor and was a large sheet of fatty meat. No flavoring inside the roll either. It was very disappointing. The vermicelli bowl was ok but not as good as I'm used to. They added peppers to their fish sauce and the meat had spice to it. The meat wasn't as tender as I'm used to. Their plastic forks bent when I tried to stab a piece and even a steak knife had trouble cutting it. Overall I won't be eating here again."

"My mom and I have been eyeing this restaurant for years, and we've always wanted to give it a try. Having traveled to various big cities with excellent and authentic Korean BBQ, I was eager to experience this spot, especially after returning to El Paso over the past year. I'm so glad we finally went; it was fantastic! We ordered bulgogi and had the fun of cooking it ourselves. While they don’t have built-in grills at the tables like many places I've visited, their tabletop burner and stone grill were very efficient and easy to use. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially since my mom had never experienced this style of Korean BBQ before. Although it's not an all-you-can-eat restaurant, the portion sizes—sides, rice, and meat—were just right for the two of us. If you're dining with more than two people, I highly recommend opting for the combos. My mom was particularly surprised and delighted by the steamed egg. We enjoyed everything, and she's already looking forward to our next visit. Our total bill, including tip and tax, was around $43-45, which felt very reasonable considering how full we were. We can’t wait to return!"

"Coming from NYC we are here in the Cape for some time. It is a great place to be and too eat. Sometimes we don't need to eat more fish and need a break,. This time it was a pizza. So we stopped into JBs and grab a bite. It was worth it. The variety is good. There are many pizzas to choose from. You can also get a bowl of pasta or maybe a sandwich of eggplant or meatballs or more. It is all here. There is even a variety of Greek food to select from. We ordered three different pies. We also had an eggplant sandwich, a gyro, and a Greek salad. The sizes were great. The flavors were right. The spices perfect. The meal was fresh and moist and tasty. This was nice. As for the price it was perfect for what we had. The staff at JBs was really helpful. Nice team to be with who were very friendly. It is definitely on the list. Thanks."

"I stopped on a long trip to the Bay area. As a pescatarian, I was looking forward to Mexican seafood. I was a bit disappointed. From the outside it looked closed but the open sign was on so I went in. The waitress was pleasant but had very limited English. I ordered the shrimp al Kora. The sauce was great but the shrimp overdone. The salad was fresh and good. I could not find a way for the server to understand my question about whether the refried beans were cooked in lard or vegetable oil. They came with, but I just left them. And the prices are definitely higher than one would expect. All in all, decent but not great."
