"honestly disappointed by my first and only experience in this facility, especially after I heard such wonderful things from a close friend. for beginners our waitress was very impatient and very rude. they took a stance on a misunderstanding on their part, which was shocking when considering that most foods are not freshened. I ordered general Tso chicken and the brokkoli with which it came was cold on the touch. When I asked the waitress about it, she said that the brokkoli decoration is so that it is not necessary to warm it up. I've eaten this dish for 20 years. the broccoli was always boiled to the temperature of the chicken. the manager had the same bad attitude. this device is nothing but an overpriced, disguised China wok. you better go to the shopping center and get Chinese food there. it will be a third of the price with better quality service and eat."

"My family is customers of Sang Kee, since they have their hole-in-the-wall noodle shop in Chinatown, which was about 40 years ago. Her noodle soup and roast duck, chicken, pig, etc. as well as her various Chinese cuisine are very delicious! Service is excellent and the staff is friendly. If Sang Kee Loyalty gives medals, we are sure to be recipients!"

"I feel bad giving this place a bad review during this time but it's so bad that I need to tell others. Ordered fried wings- it was breaded and uncooked. The worse wings I ever had in my life. My beef chow fun noodles were still hard so I couldn't finish it. My husband ordered pork fried rice and general Tao chicken. The rice is undercooked and so hard that we had to throw away. This will be my first and last time ordering from here"

"I almost decided to gatekeep this spot yet here I am writing a review after getting delivery for the first time — that’s just how good this place is! I’m basically married to another thai food spot in East Hollywood. Today, my usual spot was closed so I decided to look elsewhere for delivery. Yup, I cheated on my old reliable and I’m never looking back. This place stole my hungry heart. They added aluminum foil to the to-go container to keep my food warm — it kept my food warm even after a 25 min delivery drive! The food itself was insanely flavorful and very authentic. I’m pretty annoying with my food because I am picky and religiously look for authentic ethnic food. This place hits!"

"Stopped there 2/6/18 . Have been going there since the late 70's. The place was empty, maybe a table or two. That should have been a clue. The service was good, but the food was the worst ever. Plus it was served room temperature.. I haven't been served a meal this bad in years. Ordered sweet and sour pork. Could not chew the pork, it tasted old.. I know they were closed by the board of health quite a time ago. They need to make more improvements.One of the violations was no running water in the kitchen.. Never will set foot in there again. I was surprised I wasn't asked why my food was barely touched."

"My family and I always dine in and have great experiences here except for today. We ordered dim sum and we mistakenly ordered an item (pan fried taro cake) when it was supposed to be pan fried radish cake. So we immediately mentioned to our server Jimmy that we wanted to cancel the pan fried taro cake and order the pan fried radish, can we please do so? And he said no it's too late to cancel that it's already being made. I have never been to ANY restaurant that has told me no you can't cancel an order. We mistakenly ordered, yes, we apologize for that but it was only within 5 mins that we put in our order. And then server Jimmy told us no, we cannot cancel it. He shrugged his shoulders and basically told us we're just gonna have to eat it and pointed at the table. That is so absurd to me. I am furious at this point. I told him I'm not paying money for something that was mistakenly ordered? Plus we aren't even going to eat that taro cake. It'll just sit there. So what are we going to do about it? And then he goes okay let me go and change it now. He doesn't even apologize about his initial response and lets us eat while feeling utterly disgusted. Then continues to just stare us down while the food arrives. I have NEVER felt so disrespected at any restaurant in my entire life. This experience has been the worst. I asked another server if we could speak to a manager about this whole experience and guess who walks up, Jimmy. Jimmy claims to be the Manager. I asked him can I speak to the manager Jimmy said I am the Manager, what's the problem. What do you mean what's the problem you already knew what it was? He sure isn't dressed like a Manager he's dressed as one of the servers. I went ahead and told him about the experience again and he still didn't apologize for any of it. I told him he probably doesn't care about me being upset at this experience and all he said was ok and the end of it. He's a real big A hole I'll tell you that. I felt like I wasted my breath for nothing speaking with him. So I obviously had to speak with someone else about it like upper management so I asked the host is there another manager around he said yes the General Manager and his name is Michael. I spoke with Michael and told him everything and he apologized and said that we are always able to cancel orders so he is very sorry that happened to us and will talk to Jimmy. Next time you guys come here look out for Jimmy he might just tell you no too and stare you down the whole time while you're there. Ridiculous."
