"Stopped there 2/6/18 . Have been going there since the late 70's. The place was empty, maybe a table or two. That should have been a clue. The service was good, but the food was the worst ever. Plus it was served room temperature.. I haven't been served a meal this bad in years. Ordered sweet and sour pork. Could not chew the pork, it tasted old.. I know they were closed by the board of health quite a time ago. They need to make more improvements. One of the violations was no running water in the kitchen.. Never will set foot in there again. I was surprised I wasn't asked why my food was barely touched."

The dinner here was quick and well done. Went with a couple of friends and we ordered a bunch of dishes. The Mongolian beef was a little sweet but other dishes were great. Service was friendly. Should come in the morning/afternoon for dim sum.

imperial inn is really one of the best casual sit down restaurants with bar in chinatown. eating is amazing. the personal is friendly. the building is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair accessible bathrooms! it's really a shiny star. I love the older times vibe the ambience offers. have I mentioned that eating is excellent?

In the ninety's my godmom took me here to try the crispy shrimp rolls. I still come a couple times per month, if I'm in Philly for the crispy shrimp rolls! I've never had a shrimp roll so good in my life. Aside from the shrimp rolls, the service is great, they serve white meat chicken in the chicken dishes, and you can get a cocktail.

Trusted ownership. Nice classic original setting. Waitstaff is impersonal, but professional and attentive. When they get very busy however then hard to find them. Food is very good in my opinion but it's smaller portions. They try to be accommodating overall. The prices are somewhat high for the food amounts and there can be a wait as well. View menu

old fashion dim sum in chinatown. eating is fresh and cheap. the full cursor meal for $15 is a big tasty tasty chicken soup, egg roll, kung pao huhn and dessert, of course with rice, tee, fried noodles and a lucky cookie much to eat and much to take home. and the bar has a great selection of classic cocktails and bier chasing all this tasty with a brandy. large fan of this restaurant. first visit, but will return definitiw.

We chose this place on a whim, and it was better than we could have expected. It 's not the easiest thing to find a nice sit down restaurant for Chinese food these days, and when we came here that was exactly what we found. The food was flavorful, and had a clean freshness to it. The staff was kind, and attentive, and the atmosphere was quiet and casually comfortable. There were several of us who attended dinner, and we all ordered very different 3 course meals. We all sampled a bit of everything, and it was excellent. We will definitely be returning!

I love this place and the people who belong here, host, cook and serve. I've been going to imperial inn since the late 1970s. I took my children there and they love it and now my grandchildren love it. we're just going there when we're in the city. I am a heartbroken to hear that they close. they will be very missed. they have the best jump rolls and shrimp rolls in the world. No one can make them like the chefs in imperial inn. I wish they would market their rolls. that is my special place. it betrays me that they close, but always forgive for all in imperial inn

I love this place and the people who own, host, cook, and serve here. I've been going to Imperial Inn since the late 1970s. I took my children there and they love it and now my grandchildren love it. We only go there when we are downtown. I am heartbroken to hear they are closing. They will be dearly missed. They have the BEST Spring Rolls and Shrimp Rolls in the world. No one can make them like the Chefs at Imperial Inn. I wish they would market their Rolls. This is my family special place. It saddens me they will close but Blessings Always to Everyone at Imperial Inn

"Fantastic neighborhood gem. Food was flavorful, cozy, inviting, and fun. Not fussy or arrogant, but cooked with love, execution, and straight from the heart. My favorite was the Burrata dish, a cold cheese dish with the seductively sumptuous balsamic glaze and the best thinsliced prosciutto I ever had thankfully not too salty as it was packed with flavor. The bread was fantastic for mopping up the rich tomato based seafood app.My wife and I loved the seafood spaghetti dish, although the dark brown think buckwheat spaghetti surprised us at first. The rich white wine broth and clams were fantastic, but the noodles were perplexing and intriguing and fantastic!. The whole wheat made it seem like it might be tough but it was smooth and chewy, while still hearty. And yet it almost felt too soft and about melt, although there was a firm elasticity to it! The scallops risotto was rich and decadent. Temp was good. The service was good, the outdoor ambience was wonderful, the napkin's bluegray hue resonated with my wife, and the plates were gorgeous.Overall, it was excellent and worthy of going back and recommending to friends and family. The meal may not have been technically flawless the delicious octopus could stand to be grilled or cooked a tad longer, but it was still perfectly authentic, heartfelt, and admirably executed. It straddled the fine line between elevatedelegant and homey. It accomplished what it set out to do and delivered on what one would expect! We live outside the city, so we won't be able to visit often, which may be good, because this is such a fine neighborhood establishment—if I lived nearby, I'd definitely be in danger of blowing my monthly dining budget"
