"Another unacceptable aspect of the parking is that even after the rain stops, you still have to wade through inches of water just to reach the hotel. If you decide to take the 40 stairs up, you’re met with a massive puddle at the bottom on the hotel side. Alternatively, if you choose not to take the stairs and dodge several lanes of traffic, there’s an even bigger and deeper puddle on that side. Either choice leaves you drenched. I've attached some photos for reference.
Our room was in the south tower this time, and it didn’t match the quality of our previous stay in the north tower. This room had an outside entrance, while the north tower rooms have access from inside the hotel. Another disappointment was that the pool closed at 8:00 p.m., which felt excessively early, especially for families on vacation. On top of that, there were days during our stay when the pool closed even earlier due to rain, and there didn’t seem to be a clear policy for reopening it. The staff didn’t have any answers for us about if or when it might reopen after the weather cleared.
With the pool closed, access to the beach and patio requires navigating through the hotel lobby and a narrow hallway near the restrooms, which isn’t ideal. Despite these issues, I don’t want to paint the whole experience negatively, as this place has the potential to be excellent again. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, I found it increasingly challenging to enjoy my stay here compared to my previous experiences. I’ve also stayed at other nearby properties and will likely consider one of those for my next visit."
