"My husband and I stopped in for breakfast with our toddlers? When we entered, we were told we could sit anywhere. A menu was brought to a shortly after sitting down. Our drink order was taken as our menu was brought to us. I do believe there is a switch from breakfast to lunch around 11:00 a.m. The server was also manning the phone when we were there. The staff all seemed friendly and we're definitely tolerable of our toddlers, who decided to run in circles and dance after eating. I feel like this restaurant gives a homey vibe. The food was more than reasonably priced. Honestly, it was the lowest priced food that I've seen in a while. Overall, we enjoyed our food and our time at the restaurant. I think we'll be back to try lunch, and dinner at a later time. Dietary restrictions: The food is customizable, you can ask to add items, or take items out. There are a bunch of different varieties and options of food. Parking: There is off street parking lot, and you can also park on the street. Kid-friendliness: We brought our kids with us, there's a high chair accessible to anybody who may need it. The staff was very tolerable of our toddlers. Wheelchair accessibility: There's a door on the side of the building that is wheelchair accessible. The parking lot is a decent size and there is plenty of room for anybody who may need to park a little further than the car next to them."

"1. **SNEAKY PRACTICES:** They have begun adding tips directly to the bill and stapling it under the credit card slip, hoping customers won't notice and will tip extra. I checked my bank account today and noticed the total of $38.18 (as seen in the photo) had been charged as $39.18. I disputed the extra dollar. While the amount is small, the principle is concerning. 2. **LOW VALUE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT:** The dinner price is now $30.95, but key items that were once staples have been removed. There are no oysters or soft shell crabs, and each customer is limited to one sweet shrimp and one dessert. Additionally, they change the menu rules on the fly. When we ordered, they served us two sweet shrimps, which they indicated would count as one order. When we tried to order a second shrimp (which should be one order per person), they told us we couldn’t—claiming that since we had two, it counted for both of us. Meanwhile, other menu items consistently come in two per order. None of these rules are clearly stated on the menu, allowing them to alter the terms at will. 3. **NEW OWNER IS NOT JAPANESE:** I have been coming here for years but stopped during the pandemic. On my recent visit, I noticed they no longer greet customers in the traditional way that you would expect in a Japanese restaurant. Instead, they played Korean music throughout the evening. Most troubling are the hidden tips and extra charges. I prefer Japanese-owned restaurants as they tend to uphold integrity, ensuring the food is fresh and of high quality, while also earning their tips the right way."

"Lobby was nice and check-in was easy. The location was good for what we were visiting town for as well. But we've got mostly complaints after that, which is why I'm writing a review (when I normally don't).Rooms are pretty outdated. There are hotel rooms elsewhere in Springfield for roughly the same price (2-star hotels, even) that are more up-to-date than here.Shower was not clean. We were put in a wheelchair-accessible room and the shower did not retain the water, so the water pooled onto the bathroom floor, which I'd consider hazardous. Speaking of the bathroom, we were only given a single bar of soap to share for showers and also for general hand-washing. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap because your room may be lacking. The room sorely lacks power outlets, and the ones we found may not be easy to reach. We did find a power strip behind the nightstand but it looks like it hadn't been touched in years. Covered in dirt.We were told the pool would have towels, but there were none. The front desk was nearby however, so that wasn't much of an inconvenience, but worth noting since most of our time at the hotel had been unpleasant. The indoor pool was freezing cold, and I generally don't mind a cool pool. It was unbearable for me, I couldn't get beyond waist deep for two minutes before I had to exit. We're also not sure if the water in that pool is treated, considering there was no smell or feel of chlorine in the water. The breakfast isn't free, which I was expecting anyway, but the price they'd expect you to pay for their breakfast was a bit high considering there are free breakfasts at other hotels I've stayed at that looked better. The cafe they have near the front desk had only one person working on a weekend morning, so we didn't bother until we didn't see a line. We bought an iced tea, and the associate gave us a plastic cup with ice water in it and placed a tea bag into it. That isn't tea, it's cold water with a tea bag floating in it.I know this hotel is generally on the cheaper end in the area so you should expect to get what you pay for, but there are others in the area that are better quality for the same price. Don't settle for here because it's the closest one to the MSU campus."
