"1.14.2023 My first visit to the Effie Cafe. After reading reviews, I took my dad for brunch. He lives 20 miles from here. Our server, Jessica, who is the owner as of this past year, recommended the biscuits and gravy, as well as the French Toast. I had to try them both with the plan of taking some home. Dad had over easy eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. While we waited we noticed the fresh paint and new fresh look. Jessica stopped by to answer our questions. She is very pleasant and a nice chat. It was clear the new owner was giving the place a new look which she did an excellent job. Our wait was short and the food arrived hot. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The French toast was the best I've had. Dad really enjoyed his choice too. The price for all of this was under $22. I paid $30 and left the rest as a tip. She earned it. "The service at this restaurant is excellent, but the true highlight is the food quality. I had the best omelet I've ever had in North Dakota, and it's so delicious that it's hard to choose anything else on the menu. The eggs are thick and fluffy, blended perfectly with the other ingredients. The soup is also exceptional—it's clear that a lot of skill and care has gone into preparing it."

"This bar is possibly the most unwelcoming place on earth. The bartenders have the personality of a tree trunk. I have never experienced anything like it, and I have written numerous positive reviews in the past. Even though a local brewery highly recommended the burgers, I cannot overlook the unfriendly service provided by the bartenders. I suggest avoiding this bar if you are just passing through, as it was a major disappointment for me. Although I am not usually a fan of "cancel culture," I would recommend staying away from this place and making better choices elsewhere."

"The best place around for Ribs and Prime Rib! It's too bad they only offer those on Friday and Saturday nights. I had the Queen portion of the Prime rib with a baked potato and a side salad. The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection and tasted great! I couldn't finish the whole thing so it's a bonus that I get to have a sandwich tomorrow! The baked potato was also done perfectly! $18 is very reasonable for perfectly cooked, great tasting Prime!"

"Stopped in here with my husband at the end of our anniversary trip and it DID NOT disappoint. This place is filled with history and beautiful old time decor that makes it so special. The staff was fantastic. Super friendly, great recommendations, perfectly made drinks and overall just wonderful. Do yourself a favor and order the Bucket of Curds... They're not teasing when they say bucket it's huge and hands down BEST cheese curds I've ever had. (Ask for their homemade marinara sauce it's delicious. "Great atmosphere, love that it has a touch tunes for picking our own music and we had fun with pull tabs. The food is all basically fried food, kind of over priced, but delicious! The batter is amazing on the fried pickles, and (fresh) walleye fingers. Staff was very friendly, and drinks were good. Only major downfall is I found a hair in my ranch, which can happen anywhere so other than that, it was a great experience. Service: Dine in"

"I was charged twice for my meal, but I only noticed it later when I reviewed my credit card statement. A new employee was on duty, so I'll assume it was just an honest mistake. "My daughter from Litchfield recommended this restaurant for its delicious comfort food, so we decided to visit. We ordered the roasted chicken, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The high-backed booths provided a nice sense of privacy and comfort. Be sure to check their hours before going. This was my first visit (while my daughter has been there several times), and it really reminded us of the Hutch Cafe, which is a compliment. I encourage you to look at the menu and give it a try. The prices are reasonable, the food quality is excellent, and our server was attentive and efficient. Thank you! We’ll definitely be back!"

"My meal at The Pickle Factory was unlike anything I've experienced in nearly 69 years. I couldn’t eat a single bite of the Monty chicken sandwich because of its texture and taste. I ended up only having the potato chips and a beer. There was no response or consideration from management. We spent over $100 for four people, and in the 24 hours since, I’ve already warned two other families about this experience. This is the first—and worst—restaurant review I’ve ever written."
